In the end, this means going for information production systems instead of the speculative systems that have been so successful over the last few months. For us, a fundamental part of the Net is what we defined a long time ago as the intersection or delta zone, a region rich in the ebb and flow of digital communication, made up of people ready to get into the Net and do things. And, on the other hand, it is the area where a large part of the activities developed in the Net should surface and make their way into society. We think this constant toing and froing from the real to the virtual is essential for constructing the “Information Society” and furnishing it with the meaning that the internauts themselves provide.

Això suposa, finalment, una aposta a favor dels sistemes de producció en lloc dels sistemes d’especulació, que tant d’èxit estan tenint a Internet els darrers mesos. Per a nosaltres, una part fonamental de la xarxa és la que vàrem definir fa temps com la zona d’intersecció o deltaica, una regió rica en fluxos i refluxos de comunicació digital, poblada per gent disposada a entrar i fer coses a Internet. I, d’altra banda, és també la regió on gran part de les activitats que es desenvolupen a la xarxa haurien d’aflorar cap a la superfície de la societat. Aquest viatge d’anada i tornada del real cap al virtual pensem que és essencial per construir la “Societat de la Informació” i donar-li un significat subministrat pels mateixos internautes.
