L' abbazia delle suore benedettine, oltre alle numerose reliquie e quadri eclesiastici, custodisce una tradizione di preparazione dei "baškotini", pane biscottato aromatico che si offre all' entrata nell' abbazia.

In 1443, the construction of the new town started according to the strict designs of Juraj Dalmatinac, Renaissance sculptor and architect. It ended two centuries later. There is the parish Church of the Assumption on the main town’s square. This church is a valuable cultural and art monument because of its exterior and interior architectural solutions, as well as the exhibits. The town abounds in beautifully carved doorposts on the entrances of the noblemen’s houses and yards, small baroque balconies, stone coats of arms from the period 15th - 18th century and a magnificent portal on the Duke’s palace. This well-preserved mediaeval town, whose center is the cultural monument, even today performs the function of the administrative, cultural and mercantile center. The Benedictine convent of St. Margarita, besides numerous valuable sacral relics and pictures, cherishes also the tradition of making “baškotini”, the aromatic crunchy biscuits that are offered at the entrance of the convent.

Mit dem Aufbau der neuen Stadt wurde streng nach den Skizzen des kroatischen Renaissancebildhauers Juraj Dalmatinac im Jahre 1443 begonnen und dieser wurde nach zwei Jahrhunderten abgeschlossen. Auf dem Hauptplatz befindet sich die Pfarrkirche der Mariä Himmelfahrt, die wegen ihrer inneren und äusseren architektonischen Schönheiten und Ausstellungsstücken ein sehr wertvolles Kulturmonument ist. Überall in der Stadt kann man außer schön gemeißelten Pfosten an den Eingängen der adeligen Häuser und Höfe auch Barockbalkons, Steinwappen aus dem 15./ 16. Jh. und das majestätische Portal auf dem Fürstenhof sehen. Diese gut erhaltene mittelalterliche Stadt, deren Kern ein Kulturmonument bildet, hat auch heute noch eine administrativische, kulturelle und wirtschaftliche Funktion.

Koncem středověku utrpěl Pag v bojích se Zadarem obrovské ztráty. Obyvatelé se shodli, že nebudou opravovat staré zničené město, ale vybudují na sousední lokalitě město nové. Byl to počin ve své době a v této oblasti neobvyklý a progresivní. Pag začal od r.1443 stavět podle svých v té době velmi moderních plánů největší gotický sochař stavitel v přímoří Juraj Dalmatinac. Město se začalo budovat jako gotické, ale během výstavby přibývalo renesančních prvků. Síť pravidelných rovnoběžných ulic protínaly kolmice druhých komunikací, náměstí tvořily pravidelné obdélníky nebo čtverce.

Pág szigetén, történelmi és kultúrális téren legismertebb, Pág városa nem a legid?sebb település a szigeten. A várostól délre, 1 km távolságban – a mostani város el?djeként - az Óváros maradványai találhatók ( kolostor és templom), Pág Óvárosa amelyet 1244. március 30-án IV. Béla szabad királyi jelz?vel ajándékozott meg. Az új város kiépítése, Juraj Dalmatinac, horvát reneszánsz szobrász, építész szigorú tervrajzai alapján, 1443-ban kezd?dött és két évtized után fejez?dött be. A központi téren a Szentséges Szüz Mária templom található amely, számtalan küls? és bels? építészeti megoldások valamint a kiállított tárgyak miatt, értékes kultúrális és m?vészeti emlékm?. A városban, a nemesség házain és udvarán szépen faragott ajtófélfák, barokk erkélyek, a XV.-XVIII. századok k?címerei és a hercegpalotán díszes f?bejárat látható. E jól megvédett középkori városnak, amely kultúrális emlékm?, még ma is adminisztratív, kultúrális és kereskedelmi központi funkciója van. A benediktánus n?vérek kolostora, számos értékes templomi ereklye és kép mellett, az aromatikus kétszers?lt elkészítési hagyományát is ?rzi, amelyet a kolostor bejáratánál kínálnak.

Na rynku centralnym znajduje się kościół parafialny pod wezwaniem Najświętszej Marii Panny. Jest to, co się tyczy zewnętrznych i wewnętrznych rozwiązań, jak i eksponatów, bardzo cenny pomnik kulturowo-artystyczny. Wszędzie po mieście, zwłaszcza przy wejściu do domów lub dworów należących do szlachty, można zobaczyć pięknie kształtowane kamienne odrzwia, potem balkony barokowe, kamienne herby pochodzące z okresu 15 do 18 wieku, jak i wspaniały portal na pałacu rektorów. Te bardzo dobrze utrzymane miasto średniowieczne, którego jądro jest pomnikiem kultury, i dzisiaj pełni funkcję centrum administracyjnego, kulturalnego, jak i handlowego. W klasztorze benedyktynek schowane są liczne cenne relikwie i obrazy. Przed wejściem do klasztoru gości się częstuje tzw. baškotinem, aromatycznymi grzankami. Tradycja ich przygotowania pilnuje się w tym klastorze.
