Praktik Rambla is its own spectacular little 19th century palace on tree-lined Rambla Catalunya, one of the most beautiful and elegant streets in Barcelona. Representing one of the most emblematic buildings of Barcelona’s Eixample district, the Casa Climent Arola, was built at the beginning of the 19th century by Catalan architect Francesc de P. Villar i Carmona. The exterior of the Praktik Rambla is a blend of ionic columns sustaining the first floor balconies, and other Baroque-style elements. The building was completely refurbished in 2009 when it was converted to a hotel, immaculately preserving many original elements such as original mosaic floors and high, moulded ceilings. If there is one thing for which Barcelona is recognized worldwide, it is modenist architecture, a style that has characterized the city since the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th, its most significant accomplishment being the Barcelona Universal Exposition in 1888. Antoni Gaudi was without doubt the most important representative of modernist architecture, a genius of geometry and volume with an exceptional, creative capacity, who was especially inspired by nature. World-renowned works of art attributed to Gaudi include La Sagrada Familia, la Pedrera, la Casa Batlló and el Parc Güell. Hotel Praktik Rambla is located right in the heart of the Eixample district, where the majority of Barcelona’s modernist buildings are to be found. The hotel design and interior decor is the work of Lázaro Rosa-Violán, a prestigious, highly recognized interior designer, signature of some of the most fashionable restaurants, stores, and hotels in the world.

Le Praktik Rambla occupe un hôtel particulier spectaculaire du XIXe siècle sur la Rambla de Catalunya plantée d'arbres, l'une des plus belles et des plus élégantes rues de Barcelone. Il s'agit de l'un des bâtiments les plus emblématiques de l'Eixample barcelonais : la casa Climent Arola, une maison construite au début du XIXe siècle par l'architecte catalan Francesc de P. Villar i Carmona. L'extérieur du Praktik Rambla mêle des éléments classiques originaux, comme les colonnes ioniques qui soutiennent les balcons de l'étage principal, à d'autres de style baroque. Le bâtiment a été entièrement rénové en 2009, pour en faire un hôtel, en conservant un grand nombre d'éléments originaux tels que les carrelages hydrauliques ou les moulures des hauts plafonds. Si quelque chose caractérise Barcelone dans le monde entier, c'est bien le modernisme, un style architectural propre à cette ville qui se développe à la fin du XIXe et au début du XXe, dont le fait le plus marquant fut l'Exposition universelle de Barcelone en 1888. Le plus grand représentant de l'architecture moderniste fut sans aucun doute Antoni Gaudí, un génie de la géométrie et du volume ayant une capacité de création incroyable qui tirait tout particulièrement son inspiration de la nature. Das Praktik Rambla befindet sich in einem sehenswerten Stadtpalais aus dem 19. Jh. in an der baumreichen Rambla de Catalunya, einer der schönsten und elegantesten Alleen Barcelonas. Es handelt sich um eines der emblematischsten Gebäude des Eixample von Barcelona: Das Climent Arola Haus, das zu Beginn des19. Jh. von dem katalanischen Architekten Francesc de P. Villar i Carmona erbaut wurde. An der Fassade des Praktik Rambla vermischen sich originelle klassische Elemente wie die ionischen Säulen, die die Balkone der Hauptebene tragen, mit Barockelementen. Das Gebäude wurde 2009 im Rahmen des Umbaus zum Hotel komplett saniert. Dabei wurden zahlreiche ursprünglichen Elemente wie die , hydraulischen Böden oder die Stuckleisten an den Decken erhalten. Wenn Barcelona auf der ganzen Welt für etwas berühmt ist, so ist es für seine Jugendstilarchitektur, die hier als „Modernismo“ Ende des 19. und Anfang des 20. Jh. seine eigene Ausdrucksform fand und mit der Weltausstellung von 1888 in Barcelona ihren Höhepunkt hatte.. Der wichtigste Vertreter der Jugendstilarchitektur war ohne Zweifel Antoni Gaudí, ein Genie der Geometrie und des Volumens mit einer unglaublichen kreativen Schaffenskraft, der sich vor allem an der Natur inspirierte. Von ihm stammen weltweit bekannte Werke wie La Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera, La Casa Batlló oder der Parc Güell. Das Hotel Praktik Rambla befindet sich im Herzen des Stadtviertels Eixample, in dem sich die meisten modernistischen Gebäude Barcelonas finden lassen. Die Gestaltung und Inneneinrichtung des Hotels sind das Werk von Lázaro Rosa-Violán, dem renommierten und anerkannten Innenarchitekten, der die In-Restaurants, Geschäfte und Hotels der ganzen Welt geprägt hat.
