The building is not only sharply characterised by the clear separation of the volumes, but also through the clever use of materials in the exterior sections, that are connected to the interiors through the use of vibrant variations in colour. The paint, the Cor-ten steel sheets (used to clad the kitchen block, the ground floor in the guest area, the sloping roof), and the vertical wooden staves (Twinson) divide the exterior according to coplanar sections and different levels. There is a mix of materials and colours, with the dark hues of the Cor-ten sheets marked by circular openings - light "tubes" to illuminate the interior - and the delicate colours of the wooden staves. Inside, green stone, dark wooden flooring and more Cor-ten sheets in the kitchen are used, combining with the tailor-made Corian furniture

Non solo le dimensioni provvedono a differenziare i due corpi contigui: l'uno, il deposito, si presenta con rivestimento a coloritura scura, mentre il volume principale si mostra con brillantezza e luminosità, nel dispiego delle grandi vetrate che corrono lungo i prospetti e nello sviluppo di ampie porzioni di facciata in lastre metalliche chiare e rilucenti, che incorniciano i prospetti in senso orizzontale, con una dinamica avvolgente e di forte connotazione anche di tipo figurativo.

The one, a single-storey construction on the south-western side, provides warehouse space, while the main double-storey edifice, facing south-east, is the office block. These two buildings clearly differ in size, a distinction that is reinforced by the use of colours and materials. The warehouse has dark cladding, while the main volume is bright and shiny, with large glazed walls running along the façades and sizeable sections of light-coloured, polished metal panels that frame the elevations horizontally, almost embracing them with clear figurative overtones.

The entire villa has fine contrasts between the walls and the volumes. The facades also have contrasts, differentiating both the two floors and sections of facade along the ground floor. The choice of materials also has contrasts, with glazed areas, plastered sections and parts clad in lava stone, which creates a real focal point for the structure because of its rough finish and its dark colour. The placement of the volumes reinforces the idea of contrasts, with jutting out sections that characterise the edifice and give it a notable geometrical imprint, such as the balconies on the north-east and south side (the latter framed by partitions), and the steel and glazed shelter protecting the entrance on the west side, rising over the lava stone pathway that mergers into the pavement around the house.
