Auf der Piste musste sehr viel gearbeitet werden, aber es ist uns gelungen an den beiden Renntagen perfekte Pistenverhältnisse zu haben. Schlussendlich haben wir beide Rennen planmäßig ins Ziel gebracht, und auch der Wettergott hat es bei der Abfahrt sehr gut mit uns gemeint. Ein großer Dank gilt hier allen Arbeitern auf der Piste und im Zielbereich – sie haben in den letzten Tagen Großartiges geleistet.

Nebbia, nevicate, pioggia e sole: è successo proprio di tutto. Sulla pista si è dovuto lavorare molto, ma bisogna essere soddisfatti perché le condizioni del percorso erano perfette in entrambi i giorni di gara. Alla fine abbiamo portato a casa le due gare, come pianificato, e fortunatamente il giorno della discesa è stato molto bello. Un grande ringraziamento va a tutti i collaboratori, sulla pista e in zona arrivo. Negli ultimi giorni hanno fatto un lavoro enorme. Negli ultimi giorni sport e show si sono combinati molto bene.

El lema escollit per començar aquest nou trajecte ha estat “Però, què és la fotografia?”, un interrogant que més que voler aportar una única resposta, pretén cridar l'atenció sobre la rellevància que ha pres la imatge i la fotografia en la societat contemporània. Entre els programes desenvolupats durant aquest any hi destaquen el programa de reflexió “Correspondències” i les dues edicions de DONE, un projecte de suport al pensament i a la creació contemporània en el marc del nou ecosistema de la imatge.

Ce phénomène peut même se produire en réponse à l’innovation la plus prosaïque. Un exemple classique – bien connu des étudiants spécialisés dans l’aide au développement – est celui de l’introduction de tracteurs agricoles (et je crois comprendre que c’est un peu ce que nous avons fait récemment à Kandahar). La production agricole devient alors plus efficiente, mais par voie de conséquence, un grand nombre de jeunes hommes sans instruction perdent leur emploi, sont ainsi laissés à eux-mêmes sans aucun autre débouché, non seulement dans l’immédiat mais dans un avenir prévisible. Les familles étendues deviennent économiquement dysfonctionnelles et éclatent. De telles trajectoires évolutives peuvent avoir des conséquences très néfastes sur le tissu des sociétés qui, à maints égards, sont l’antithèse même du monde libéral avec lequel nous sommes familiers aujourd’hui – un monde où l’individualisme atomistique est une valeur fondamentale et où la mobilité des travailleurs est un préalable à la création de la richesse matérielle à laquelle nous sommes si fortement attachés.

His voice was a thing of beauty. He had so much conviction, commitment and compassion, but he was so provocative. He was fearless, but he had this frill too. Quite a bit of frill. He was masculine and sensitive at the same time. His own personal preferences didn’t inform the music, but his own sense of alienation probably did. They had so many great songs, but I’ve done a great song in one take. How many overdubs did it take to do 'Bohemian Rhapsody'? How focused and intentful was that? What happened to our appreciation of that, never mind our aspiration to do such a thing? Could we appreciate that now that our attention span has been stolen from us? If I could accomplish something that big, that would be amazing. Those cats are a lot larger than me. But I’m coming up on them!"
