Diese geschichtsträchtige Mittelmeerregion ist reich an Denkmälern und natürlichen Ressourcen, die zur Schaffung von Arbeitsplätzen und mehr Wohlstand weiterentwickelt werden können. Im Rahmen dieses Projekts sollen qualifizierte Fremdenverkehrsfachleute ausgebildet werden, die einen Beitrag dazu leisten können. Der Lehrgang umfasst außerdem alternative Fremdenverkehrsmöglichkeiten, die auf dem Konzept des Öko-Tourismus basieren, als Gegengewicht zum herkömmlichen „Massentourismus“. Das Projekt wird von der Regionalregierung und vom Europäischen Sozialfonds finanziert.
