per la Reial Acadèmia de Medicina de Nova York, elegit com el científic de l'any ja que havia efectuat les majors contribucions en la seva especialitat (psiquiatria). El 1943 fou designat Director dels Serveis Psiquiàtrics i d'Higiene Mental de la Província de Santa Fe (Argentina). Allà funda i dirigí l'hospital psiquiàtric que actualment porta el seu nom, un dels més importants del país. El 1944 es traslladà a Montevideo, on treballà al Laboratori de Psicopedagogia Sebastián Morey Otero. Mentre va residir a Montevideo, viatjà a São Paulo el 1945 per impartir cursos de formació de tècnic en orientació professional destinats a funcionaris públics, i com a conseqüència del seu èxit fou contractat per la Fundació Getúlio Vargas per ocupar el càrrec de director fundador de l'Institut d'Orientació Professional de Río de Janeiro. El 1955 fou nomenat Vicepresident per a la Regió Atlàntica de la Societat Interamericana de Psicologia; el 1958 fou convidat per reorganitzar el Departament de Psicologia de la Universitat Central de Veneçuela; el 1960, fou nomenat expert en Psicologia Experimental de l'UNESCO i impartí cursos a la Universitat Nacional de La Plata (Argentina); el 1962 fou convidat per l'UNESCO a un seminari internacional sobre Psicologia científica realitzat a Caen (Normandia, França). Va morir d'un infart el 16 de febrer de 1964.
