The results already emerging from these changes are impressive. Overlapping and confusing lines of authority have been cleared up as all operations now fall under the ACO. A clear division of labour has been established between the ACO and the newly formed ACT: ACO defines the standards that units will have to meet to be included for service in a NATO command and ACT develops the necessary training for these units. Both ACO and ACT will certify whether units meet necessary standards. By vesting all operational responsibilities in one command and focusing the second strategic command on the challenges of on-going transformation and improving the interoperability of member nations, NATO has postured itself for continuous transformation to meet the ever-evolving challenges of today's security environment.

Diese Veränderungen führen bereits zu beeindruckenden Resultaten. Sich überschneidende und unklare Kommandolinien sind beseitigt worden, da nun alle Operationen in die Zuständigkeit des ACO fallen. Zwischen dem ACO und dem neuen ACT hat man eine eindeutige Arbeitsteilung festgelegt: Das ACO definiert die Standards, denen Einheiten gerecht werden müssen, um in einem NATO-Kommando zum Einsatz kommen zu können, und das ACT entwickelt die nötigen Ausbildungsprogramme für diese Einheiten. Sowohl das ACO als auch das ACT werden attestieren, ob bestimmte Einheiten die erforderlichen Standards erreichen. Indem die NATO alle Zuständigkeiten des operativen Bereichs einem einzigen Kommando überträgt und sich das zweite strategische Kommando auf die Herausforderungen der fortlaufenden Umgestaltung und der Verbesserung der Interoperabilität der Mitgliedstaaten konzentriert, hat sich das Bündnis auf den kontinuierlichen Wandel eingestellt, mit dem es den veränderlichen Aufgaben des heutigen Sicherheitsumfelds gerecht werden will.

Los resultados resultan impresionantes. Se han clarificado líneas de autoridad confusas y que se solapaban al estar ahora todas las operaciones bajo el ACO. Se ha creado una clara división de funciones entre el ACO y el nuevo ACT: el ACO define los estándares que las unidades tienen que cumplir para poder servir bajo un mando de la OTAN, mientras que el ACT desarrolla el adiestramiento necesario para esas unidades. Los dos mandos, ACO y ACT, certificarán si las unidades cumplen con las normas exigidas. Al poner toda la responsabilidad bajo un solo mando y hacer que el segundo mando estratégico se centre en la transformación en curso y en la mejora de la interoperatividad de los países miembros, la OTAN se ha preparado para una transformación continua que le permita estar a la altura de los retos siempre cambiantes del entorno de seguridad actual.

I risultati che già emergono da questi cambiamenti sono impressionanti. Linee di comando che si sovrapponevano e che creavano confusione sono state rese chiare, dato che tutte le operazioni ora ricadono sotto ACO. Una netta divisione dei compiti è stata stabilita tra ACO e il nuovo ACT: ACO stabilisce gli standard che le unità dovranno conseguire per essere incluse in un comando della NATO ed ACT sviluppa il necessario addestramento per queste unità. Entrambi, ACO ed ACT, stabiliranno se le unità possiedono gli standard necessari. Ponendo tutte le responsabilità operative in un comando e occupandosi il secondo comando strategico delle sfide relative alla trasformazione in corso e di accrescere l'interoperabilità tra i paesi membri, la NATO ha intrapreso una via di continua trasformazione per affrontare le sfide perennemente in evoluzione dell'odierno contesto di sicurezza.
