“Henceforth, here in the native village of Dumitru Matcovschi we have a monument erected to honour the memory of this great writer of our nation. I’m glad we managed to gather together on this occasion his, friends, fellow villagers, his family members, people who appreciate and admire his work. I have personally known Dumitru Matcovschi. I fondly remember our conversations, he was a man whom I greatly appreciated and who marked me. I think he was a pillar of the culture of the Republic of Moldova”, said the fonder of Edelweiss, who was present today in the native village of the late poet.

“De azi înainte, aici, în satul de baştină al lui Dumitru Matcovschi, avem un monument ridicat pentru a-i cinsti memoria acestui mare artist al poporului nostru. Mă bucur că am reuşit să ne strângem cu această ocazie împreună, prieteni, consăteni, membri ai familiei sale, oameni care apreciază şi admiră opera sa. Eu l-am cunoscut personal pe Dumitru Matcovschi. Îmi amintesc cu mare drag discuţiile noastre, era un om pe care l-am apreciat enorm şi care m-a marcat. Îl consider a fi un reper pentru cultura Republicii Moldova”, a declarat fondatorul Edelweiss, aflat astăzi în satul natal al regretatului poet.

«С этого дня, здесь, в родном селе Дмитрия Матковского, у нас есть памятник, который воздвигнут для того, чтобы чтить память этого великого поэта нашего народа. Я рад, что нам удалось собраться вместе по этому поводу – друзьям, односельчанам, членам его семьи, людям, которые ценят и восхищаются его творчеством. Я лично был знаком с Дмитрием Матковским. Я с большой радостью вспоминаю наши беседы, это был человек, которого я высоко ценил и который оказал на меня большое влияние. Я считаю его опорой для культуры Республики Молдова», заявил основатель Фонда Эдельвейс, который находился сегодня в родном селе умершего поэта.
