Six espèces sont décrites, l’une d’elles Seira eleana Coates, 1968 est connue d’Afrique du Sud, les cinq autres sont de nouvelles espèces : Seira polysperes n. sp., S. jacquemarti n. sp., S. yemenensis n. sp., S. humberti n. sp. et S. sanaaensis n. sp. Seira polysperes n. sp. est caractérisée par sept soies mésothoraciques internes (zone 3A), une forte pilosité sur le tube ventral antérieur et une pigmentation variable qui ne s’inscrit pas dans les variations d’une espèce proche, Seira ferrarii Parona, 1888. Seira jacquemarti n. sp. se caractérise par sept macrochètes mésothoraciques sur la zone 1 (A + B) et par huit macrochètes abdominales sur la zone a, sur ces points la nouvelle espèce se différencie de Seira deserti Jacquemart, 1974. Seira yemenensis n. sp. ne porte pas de macrochètes sur l’Abd. I, de plus, elle présente une chétotaxie dorsale appauvrie. La pigmentation spécifique la sépare aisément des autres espèces. Seira humberti n. sp. possède une chétotaxie importante, la présence de 5 + 5 macrochètes sur l’Abd. I la distingue des espèces européennes avec des soies plus nombreuses sur ce segment. Seira sanaaensis n. sp. présente 5 + 5 macrochètes sur la zone c de l’Abd. IV, ce caractère et la faible pigmentation la différencient d’une espèce proche, Seira ferrarii Parona, 1888.

Cependant, la Direction des communications et de la consultation a fourni un plan de communication et des produits ciblés afin d'appuyer le lancement du projet pilote, y comrpis un communiqué de presse, des pochettes de presse, des avis publics dans des médias sélectionnés, des articles généraux pour les magazines de navigation plaisancière et des journaux locaux, une brochure, des affiches, un guide pour les membres et des messages sur le site Web. La distribution de brochures et de pochettes de presse à des salons nautiques et à des personnes franchissant la frontière en voiture ont donné certains résultats : au 25 novembre 2005, 1 061 demandes d'adhésion avaient été reçues et 779 membres étaient inscrits [ 16 ].
