Manca poco, dopo quaranta giorni di quaresima la festa di Pasqua è alle porte. Assieme alle uova colorate e ai nidi si tiene anche il pranzo di Pasqua. Sul menu si trovano agnello, il classico arrosto d’oca e naturalmente anche il pane di Pasqua il quale, secondo una antica tradizione, viene mangiato per colazione e con il caffè il pomeriggio.

Ich folge der schmalen Straße zu den Weilern Vögls und Wetzl; die Steigung nimmt ordentlich zu. „Endlich ein Krafttest für mein E-Bike“, denke ich und schalte vom Eco- auf den Tour-Modus. Fast mühelos gewinne ich an Höhe. Wie Schwalbennester klebten alte Bauernhäuser an den Hängen. Rote Geranien schmücken die weißgekalkten Fensterlaibungen. Beim letzten Hof auf knapp 1.400m Meereshöhe endet die Asphaltstraße. Auf einem Schotterweg folge ich dem Wegweiser nach Ridnaun. Ich staune, wie gut mein E-Bike arbeitet. Im Handling bemerke ich kaum Unterschied zu meinem gewohnten Bergflitzer. Ich fühle mich topfit – und der Akku hat noch nicht mal die Hälfte der gespeicherten Energie verbraucht. Bald wir der Weg zum schmalen Pfad, und die Grashänge zu meiner Linken fallen steil in die Achenrainschlucht ab. Sicherheitshalber steige ich aus dem Sattel. Nach einer kurzen Schiebephase öffnet sich vor mir das weite Ridnauntal. Vorbei an Wegkreuzen und schmucken Gehöften geht es weiter bis zum Talschluss.Bei der Bergbauwelt Ridnaun-Schneeberg, wo der Besucher tief in die jahrhundertealte Bergbautätigkeit eintauchen kann, wechsle ich die Talseite und zweige auf die „Obere Erzstraße“ ab. Da der Genuss bekanntlich zum Schluss kommt, lasse ich es bei der finalen Abfahrt auf der Landstraße ordentlich krachen und komme sogar in Versuchung, den Helm abzunehmen und den Fahrtwind durchs Haar pfeifen zu lassen. Doch ich widerstehe dem Leichtsinn und genieße die pfeilschnelle Fahrt in vollen Zügen. Einen Preis habe ich zwar nicht bekommen, weder mit noch ohne Schweiß. Das E-Bike jedenfalls hat meinen Test mit Auszeichnung bestanden.

Maintaining the gardens adjacent to the houses (weeding, watering, transplanting, etc.). The farm is actively involved in the protection of animal biodiversity also with the construction of artificial nests, bird feeders and shelters for small wildlife, creating small ponds etc. In this sense it is working on testing a model of low-impact living which is respectful of other life forms.
