When you begin to speak of bolos, the danger is that you see them as isolationist constructions, a bit like the large communes of the 1970s. But I would like to distance myself from that dramatically. For me, bolos are effectively civil member organizations, you could say. You enter with a contract, and can leave the same way. Perhaps you bring your wealth in with you, but you also take it out with you when you leave. They are not communes. Also, inside, there are perhaps families or collective groups and single persons; they have their own private spheres. There might also be bolos where people want to sleep in huge sleeping quarters, you can't really do anything to stop them - it's also okay. But there could also be monastic arrangements. Davon möchte ich mich ganz dramatisch distanzieren. Für mich sind bolos effektiv Beitrittsvereine in bürgerlicher Form, kann man sagen. Vertraglich tritt man da bei, man tritt wieder aus, man bringt vielleicht sein Vermögen ein, nimmt es dann wieder mit. Das sind keine Kommunen. Auch intern wohnen da vielleicht Familien oder Wohngemeinschaften und Einzelpersonen, die haben ihre eigenen Privaträume. Es kann ja schon bolos geben, wo sie in riesigen Schlafsälen schlafen möchten, da kann man sie ja wirklich nicht daran hindern - ist auch schön. Aber es können auch klösterliche Sachen sein. Was man natürlich braucht, ist ein planetarer bolo-Vertrag, bei dem würde bei mir nun dazugehören, dass 10 Prozent des Wohnraumes und der Lebensmittel in jedem bolo für Gäste reserviert sind, damit diese isolationistischen Tendenzen überwunden werden. Jedes bolo muss sich zu einem gewissen Grad öffnen.
