Au premier trimestre de l'année, la Lettonie a lancé 56 nouveaux projets du FSE en vue de développer les services sociaux dans ses régions. Une vaste gamme de services sociaux sont concernés, notamment des activités de réhabilitation sociale et la création de nouvelles institutions sociales comme des centres de crise, des centres de santé et des logements protégés pour les handicapés mentaux. L'objectif des projets sélectionnés est de soutenir grâce à ces nouveaux services plus de 9 500 personnes issues de différents groupes: personnes victimes de violences, sans abris, personnes approchant de l'âge de la retraite, etc. Une aide est également prévue pour les soignants et les personnes qui s'occupent de proches gravement malades.

In Lettland wurden im ersten Quartal dieses Jahres 56 neue ESF-Projekte für die Entwicklung von Sozialdienstleistungen in den einzelnen Regionen auf den Weg gebracht. Die geplanten Sozialdienstleistungen umfassen ein breites Spektrum, einschließlich der sozialen Rehabilitation und neuer sozialer Einrichtungen, wie Krisenzentren, Gesundheitszentren und betreutes Wohnen für Menschen mit geistigen Behinderungen. Im Zuge der ausgewählten Projekte sollen diese neuen Dienste mehr als 9 500 Menschen zugutekommen, die unter anderem Opfer von Gewalt wurden, obdachlos sind oder kurz vor der Rente stehen. Auch für Pflegekräfte und Menschen, die sich um schwer kranke Angehörige kümmern, soll Hilfe geschaffen werden.
