En matière d’impôts, le Libéria est passé du 98e rang en 2012 au 45e rang en 2013. Cela tient en partie à des taux d’imposition plus faibles qui, combinés à l’expansion des abattements pour l’impôt sur les sociétés comme pour l’impôt sur le revenu des particuliers, ont contribué à la baisse du taux d’imposition réel sur les sociétés de 43.7 à 27.4 %. L’accès au financement, en particulier à long terme, reste un défi, comme en témoigne le 104e rang du Libéria dans ce domaine (voir les sections sur la politique monétaire et le système financier).
