Mientras hoy viajar en los trenes se ha convertido en una lucha constante contra la muerte. Claro, eso sin olvidar también el cansancio, el hambre y el frío. Es grande el riesgo de dormirse y caerse del tren. Pero las bandas de criminales que roban, violan y secuestran a quienes encuentran en los trenes, son peor que todo lo demás. Yo también fui víctima de robo y me dieron una paliza. Sin embargo, para las mujeres la situación es peor, es terrible. Ellas siempre se ven sometidas a las peores violencias. I came to the UN to speak to Security Council Member States to thank them for their efforts in DRC, but to urgently remind them of the diverse effects of so many years of violence which sustains instability for all but we need even more support and serious engagement from all sectors in the international community.
