“For me, being on MSAC is being a part of a wave of change. It's being able to contribute toward our future and education, and to people who will be the future student body. Adults are no longer the only people making choices for students; now we are at the table, voicing what we want. I learned so much when I became part of MSAC. I came to realize that the opinion of the average student could be heard and be considered important, not just by other students, but by the adults who facilitate the change. Now I can speak up with pride, knowing I can make a difference. On MSAC, each of us had one main thing we believed was important – poverty, equality, social change, the environment, nutrition policies, anything that matters to us as students. We spoke, we discussed and we debated, and now we're taking action. That is what change is about. That is what MSAC is about. That is what the student voice is about. Whether our large conversation is in person, at a meeting or in a telephone conference, change will come out of it. And you know what? I'm enjoying every single minute of it.” Tony Bui

« Pour ma part, être membre du CCME signifie faire partie d'une vague de changement. Cela signifie que je peux apporter ma contribution à l'avenir et à l'éducation, ainsi qu'aux gens qui formeront la future population étudiante. Les adultes ne sont plus les seules personnes à faire des choix au nom des élèves; nous sommes maintenant assis à la table et exprimons nos demandes. J'ai beaucoup appris en devenant membre du CCME. J'ai compris qu'il était possible de faire entendre et de rendre important le point de vue de l'élève moyen, non seulement auprès des autres élèves, mais également auprès des adultes qui facilitent le changement. Maintenant, je peux parler avec fierté, sachant que je peux faire une différence. Au CCME, chacun de nous avait à cœur un thème principal qu'il considérait important – pauvreté, égalité, changement social, environnement, politiques en matière de nutrition, tout thème important pour nous en tant qu'élèves. Nous avons parlé, discuté et débattu, et maintenant nous agissons. C'est ça, le changement. C'est ça, le CCME. C'est ça, la voix des élèves. Que notre grande conversation se déroule en personne, dans le cadre d'une rencontre ou par conférence téléphonique, il en résultera un changement. Et vous savez quoi?
