Several studies have concluded that bakers exposed to flour dust face the risk of being sensitized and of developing respiratory symptoms, and even occupational asthma (OA). Zusammenfassung: International discussion on university presses appears to be dominated by Anglo-American concepts and concerns, passing over many continental European presses that operate in their national contexts. In our article, we provide a case study of German-language university presses that highlights challenges and opportunities when publishing in languages other than English. A common thread across those university presses is their adoption of open access (OA) publishing. With previously developed NIRS equations based on samples of single species of timothy and alfalfa, concentrations of total ethanol soluble carbohydrates (TESC), starch, and neutral detergent soluble carbohydrates (NDSC) of the mixed samples were predicted successfully, but concentrations of organic acids (OA) and neutral detergent soluble fiber (NDSF) were unsuccessfully predicted.

Notre objectif était d'évaluer la faisabilité d'utiliser des équations NIRS développées avec des échantillons purs de fléole des prés et de luzerne pour prédire les fractions glucidiques dans des associations des deux espèces. Des échantillons de fléole des prés et de luzerne ont été mélangés afin que la proportion de luzerne dans l'association varie entre 0 et 100% avec des paliers d'augmentation de 4%. Avec des équations NIRS précédemment développées en utilisant des échantillons indépendants pour chaque espèce, les concentrations en glucides totaux solubles dans l'éthanol (TESC), en amidon, et en glucides solubles dans un détergent neutre (NDSC) des échantillons mélangés étaient prédites avec succès, mais les concentrations en acides organiques (OA) et en fibres solubles dans un détergent neutre (NDSF) n'étaient pas prédites avec succès. L'ajout de 13 échantillons d'associations d'espèces à l'ensemble de calibration initial contenant environ 110 échantillons purs de fléole des prés et de luzerne a permis d'améliorer la précision de la prédiction déjà bonne des TESC, de l'amidon et des NDSC, et a rendu possible la prédiction avec succès des NDSF dans des échantillons d'association.
