As a follow-up to BRU21 mapping among oil and gas companies, suppliers, organizations and authorities, see report, NTNU is now establishing a new research program called “Digitalization and Automation in Oil and Gas”. The program is initially expected to be financed by industry and NTNU, but NTNU will eventually apply for Research Council support. A group consisting of faculty members from several departments at NTNU and Arild Nystad is currently on a tour of companies that want to participate in the funding. The photo shows the meeting at Lundin yesterday, which will finance several PhD candidates.
