For summer varieties such as Yellow Transparent and Wealthy, apply sprays when the first sound, uninjured fruit begin to drop. The effectiveness of this material is usually much longer for these varieties in hot weather. For summer varieties, one half concentration (5 ppm) may be effective especially in hot weather. With a variety such as McIntosh, apply at 10 ppm as the first sound, uninjured fruit begin to drop. If the area treated is not picked within 7 to 10 days after the first treatment, we suggest a second application to remaining unpicked fruit 5 to 6 days after the first application. With later varieties such as Baldwin and Red Delicious, one application of a 10 ppm spray at the time the first sound, uninjured fruit begin to drop is usually sufficient. For British Columbia use 20 ppm. Contact local authorities for product information.
