According to PCT procedure, patent protection can be sought for an invention in more than 100 countries at once by filing a single application. The patent offices of the respective countries are then responsible for granting the patent. If you wish to file an application with EPO or WIPO, you can contact the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property for the necessary application forms and additional information.

Ferner werden die Staaten die Fragen des Zugangs zu genetischen Ressourcen und der Aufteilung der Vorteile aus deren Nutzung weiter erörtern. Insbesondere soll zwischen den wichtigsten Eigentümern genetischer Ressourcen, welche die Erarbeitung eines verbindlichen gesetzlichen Instrumentes fordern (Megadiversitätsländer, vorwiegend auf der südlichen Halbkugel), und den andern Ländern ein Konsens geschaffen werden. Die Schweizer Delegation wird sich für einen Kompromiss einsetzen. Die bereits vorhandenen Instrumente (Bonner Richtlinien und Internationaler Vertrag über pflanzengenetische Ressourcen für Ernährung und Landwirtschaft) sind rasch umzusetzen. Die Offenlegung der Quelle von genetischen Ressourcen soll überdies durch Bestimmungen gefördert werden, die im Rahmen des Vertrages über internationale Zusammenarbeit auf dem Gebiet des Patentwesens der Weltorganisation für geistiges Eigentum (WIPO) auszuhandeln sind.

Many of the suppliers showcasing their technology reserved their products launches to reveal in front of the industry at Pharmapack Europe. To ensure visitors made the most of this, the organizers offered access to the Learning Lab where providers could showcase their launches in 30 minute presentations, providing an open and interactive space. 11 companies took advantage of this space, such as Cryopak Europe, Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company, Biocorp, Bolloré Thin Papers, Ompi or still Iwata Label.
