Za pierwszymi drzwiami na lewo po wejściu na galerię mieści się sekretariat. W nim także jest okno glifowe z szerokim parapetem do pisania, starannie wykonanym z czerwonego wiązu amerykańskiego. Okładziną z tego drewna są laminowane wszystkie drzwi wewnętrzne, a także regulowane ościeżnice, które dodają drzwiom objętości i masy: okładziny drzwi na obydwu piętrach mają w sumie powierzchnię 130 m².

On the other side of the entrance hall a wide gallery runs through the east wing of the building. A long, solid oak bench provides a seating area for the parents whilst a row of furniture units visually separates the administrative offices on the left hand side of the gallery from the practice rooms on the right hand side of the gallery. The practice rooms on the ground floor are reserved for the younger pupils because they are more easily accessible from the main entrance. From the main gallery small passage ways lead to further practice rooms with double door systems reserved for louder musical activities. When you enter the gallery the first door to the left is reserved for the school secretariat. It includes again a splayed wooden window with a large window ledge to write on which is beautifully crafted in American red elm. All the doors inside the building have laminated American red elm facing as well as the door frames which are set in to give volume and mass: the entire door facings on both floors represent a total surface area of 130 m². To create rhythm and variety the architects have alternated different shades of white and grey wall coatings between the doorways with full height wood panelling in American red elm crown cut veneer fixed on MDF panels in certain wall sections (110 m² in total). “This is the first time that we specify this wood species and we are very satisfied with the texture and warm tones it creates in the music school as well as its interlocking grain which is clearly visible” comments Olivier Souquet. The strip lighting runs along the top edges of the walls so as to create a subdued indirect lighting that creates soft shadows on the joinery work and stoneware flooring. At the end of the gallery the architects have created a patio which brings more natural daylight both in the practice rooms on the ground floor but also in the dance rooms on the upper floor. The secret inner patio creates a quiet space within the building conducive to concentration. The golden light of its walls spreads gently across the sloped ceilings into the adjacent passage way that wraps around the patio and into the dance halls above.

Auf der anderen Seite der Eingangshalle erstreckt sich eine weite Galerie durch den Ostflügel des Gebäudes. Eine lange Bank aus massivem Eichenholz bietet Sitzgelegenheiten für die Eltern. Eine Reihe von Möbelstücken trennen die links von der Galerie liegenden Büroräumlichkeiten visuell von den Übungsräumen auf der rechten Seite. Die ebenerdig gelegenen Übungsräume sind den jüngeren Schülerinnen und Schülern vorbehalten, weil sie vom Haupteingang aus am einfachsten zu erreichen sind. Von der Hauptgalerie führen schmale Gänge zu weiteren Übungsräumen mit Zweitürigem Schleusensystem für lautere musikalische Aktivitäten. Die erste Tür links in der Galerie führt ins Sekretariat der Schule. Hier findet man ein weiteres tiefliegendes Holzfenster mit breitem Fensterbrett aus wunderschön gearbeiteter American red elm (Rot-Ulme). Alle Türen im Gebäude sind mit red elm (Rot-Ulme) verblendet, wie auch die speziell gearbeiteten Türzargen, die Volumen und Masse verleihen: Alle Türoberflächen auf beiden Stockwerken zusammen ergeben eine Fläche von 130 m². Um Rhythmus und Abwechslung zu schaffen, wählten die Architekten unterschiedliche Weiß- und Grauschattierungen für die Wandverkleidung zwischen den Türen, auf einigen Wandflächen teils bis unter die Decke (insgesamt 110 m²) furnierte MDF-Platten aus gefladertem Holz von American red elm (Rot-Ulme). „Wir arbeiten zum ersten Mal mit dieser Holzart und sind sehr zufrieden mit der Textur und den warmen Tönen, die das Holz in der Musikschule verbreitet, wie auch mit der gut sichtbaren Wechseldrehwuchs-Maserung”, kommentiert Olivier Souquet. Die Lichtbänder laufen oben an den Wänden unter der Decke, um gedämpfte indirekte Beleuchtung zu schaffen, die weiche Schatten auf den hölzernen Innenausbau und den Steinfußboden wirft. Am Ende der Galerie haben die Architekten einen Patio geschaffen, der noch mehr natürliche Beleuchtung sowohl in die Übungsräume im Erdgeschoss als auch in die Räumlichkeiten für den Tanzunterricht im Obergeschoss bringt. Der versteckte Innenhof bildet einen ruhigen Raum innerhalb des Gebäudes, der die Konzentration fördert. Das goldglänzende Licht seiner Wände fließt sanft über die geneigten Decken bis in den angrenzenden Flur, der um den Innenhof und in die Tanzräumlichkeiten im Obergeschoss führt.

En el otro lado del vestíbulo de entrada hay una amplia galería que recorre el ala este del edificio. Un largo banco de oak macizo ofrece una zona de estar para los padres, mientras que una fila de muebles separa visualmente las oficinas administrativas situadas a la izquierda de la galería de las salas de ensayo situadas a su derecha. Las salas de ensayo de la planta baja están reservadas para los alumnos más jóvenes porque puede accederse a ellas con mayor facilidad desde la entrada principal. De la galería principal salen pequeños pasajes que conducen a otras salas de ensayo con sistemas de doble puerta, reservados para actividades musicales de más decibelios. Al entrar en la galería, la primera puerta a la izquierda está reservada para la secretaría de la escuela. Incluye de nuevo una amplia ventana de madera con una repisa grande para escribir en que se ha elaborado artesanalmente un hermoso red elm estadounidense. Todas las puertas internas del edificio están revestidas de red elm estadounidense laminado.. También los marcos de las puertas, que se han empotrado para proporcionar volumen y masa: todos los revestimientos de puerta de ambas plantas representan una superficie total de 130 m². Para crear ritmo y variedad, los arquitectos han alternado revestimientos de pared en distintas tonalidades de blanco y gris entre las entradas, con torneados de madera a plena altura de chapa de red elm estadounidense aserrada tangencialmente fijada sobre paneles MDF en determinadas secciones de pared (110 m² en total). «Es la primera vez que especificamos esta especie de madera, y estamos muy satisfechos con la textura y las tonalidades cálidas que crea en la escuela de música, así como con su fibra entrecruzada, que es claramente visible», comenta Olivier Souquet. La iluminación fluorescente está dispuesta a lo largo de los bordes superiores de las paredes con el fin de crear una tenue iluminación indirecta que genere suave sombras sobre la obra de ebanistería y los suelos de gres. Al final de la galería, los arquitectos han creado un patio que no solo aporta más luz natural a las salas de ensayo y la planta baja, sino también a las salas de baile de la planta superior. El patio interior oculto crea un espacio tranquilo dentro del edificio, propicio para la concentración. La luz dorada de sus paredes se extiende suavemente a través de los techos inclinados hasta entrar en el paso adyacente, que rodea el patio y da a los salones de baile de arriba.

Sull’altra estremità dell’ingresso, un’ampia galleria attraversa l’ala orientale dell’edificio. Una lunga panca in massello di quercia offre dei posti a sedere riservati ai genitori degli allievi, mentre una fila di mobili separa gli uffici amministrativi, sulla sinistra della galleria, dalle sale di prova sulla destra. Le sale di prova del piano terra sono riservate agli studenti più giovani, poiché accessibili più facilmente dall’ingresso principale. Dalla galleria principale si accede invece a piccoli corridoi che permettono di raggiungere ulteriori sale di prova, tutte equipaggiate con doppie porte e riservate alle attività musicali più rumorose. Accedendo alla galleria, la prima porta sulla sinistra si apre sulla segreteria della scuola, la quale include una finestra interna in legno con un grande piano di appoggio che funge da scrivania, splendidamente realizzato in American red elm. Tutte le porte interne e gli infissi sono rivestiti in American red elm lamellare per conferire volume e massa; i rivestimenti delle porte su entrambi i piani raggiungono una superficie totale di 130 m². Per conferire ritmo e varietà alle pareti interne, gli architetti hanno deciso di rifinire i passaggi alternando varie tonalità di bianco e grigio, ricorrendo anche a pannellature impiallacciate di American red elm a tutta altezza fissate su pannelli MDF in alcune sezioni delle pareti (110 m² in totale). “È la prima volta che lavoriamo con questo tipo di legno e siano davvero soddisfatti della tessitura e delle tonalità calde che introduce negli interni della scuola. E apprezziamo anche la fibra intrecciata del legno che è chiaramente visibile” – prosegue Souquet. Gli impianti illuminotecnici sono installati lungo le estremità superiori delle pareti, creando una soffusa illuminazione che proietta delicate ombre sulle finiture e sul pavimento in grès porcellanato. Alla fine della galleria, gli architetti hanno creato un patio che consente l’ingresso della luce naturale sia nelle sale di prova del piano terra che nelle sale di danza al piano superiore. Questo patio segreto è uno spazio in cui regna la tranquillità e che favorisce la concentrazione; la luce dorata delle sue pareti si diffonde delicatamente sui soffitti inclinati, fino a raggiungere il passaggio adiacente che circonda il patio e gli interni delle sale di danza situate al livello superiore.
