Esan beharra dago, halaber, Sardinaren Hileta deritzon ekitaldia izan ezik, gure inauterien gainontzeko osakinak aldatuz joan direla urteetan. Baina azkeneko hamarkadan zehaztu dira Portugaleteko inauteriak eta ekitaldi tipikoak eta, urterik urte, tradiziozko jai izatera iritsi dira.

It is in the last decade when the carnival has consolidated a pattern of acts that have been seeping into the feelings of the jarrilleros, which, year after year, mark the Carnival on the festive local calendar as one of their points of reference. The main event is the Parade and Disguises Contest of troupes and gangs (comparsas y cuadrillas) that goes along the same route of San Roque’s day, filling with color and joy the locality. Each year the imagination and occurrences of the participants overcome the achieved in previous years.

Mais il faut reconnaître aussi que le reste de leur structure, à part l'acte de l'«Entierro de la Sardina », a changé au fil du temps. C’est durant la dernière décennie que le carnaval portugaletetar a consolidé un schéma d'actes, nourrissant profondément les sentiments des jarrilleros, qui, année après année, marquent le Carnaval sur le calendrier de fête local comme un de leurs points de référence.
