Non, mais le système d’immatriculation des pirogues avait été lancé, et l’administration possédait une liste des pirogues déjà immatriculées. A ce niveau, on peut même dire que la mise en place de la législation INN a eu un effet positif auprès des pêcheurs sénégalais. Dans ma localité, à M’Bour, un des plus importants sites de pêche du Sénégal, le jour précédent l’entrée en vigueur de la législation INN, 280 pêcheurs ont fait immatriculer leur pirogue, car ils avaient bien perçu l’importance de l’enjeu. Cela m’amène à souligner les efforts importants qui ont été faits par les organisations du secteur, dans les dernières semaines précédant la mise en œuvre de la réglementation INN, pour sensibiliser les pêcheurs. Car si nous avions une ébauche de système de traçabilité, il a fallu plus de rigueur et de cohérence au niveau des informations contenues dans les certificats de première vente, afin d’assurer une meilleure fiabilité et exploitabilité des informations de base récoltées auprès de ces pêcheurs.

Sinds 1978 heeft hij meer dan 60 werken gecomponeerd, waaronder zes voor orkest. Zijn composities werden uitgevoerd op gerenommeerde festivals als die van Salzburg in 1986, Festival du Midem Classique in 1986, Styrian Autumn in 1987, Echternach in 1987 en 1989, Internationale Sommerakademie van het Mozarteum in Salzburg, Musica Strasbourg in 1991 en Europa Musicale Munich in 1993. Hij heeft ook een aantal verplichte werken voor wedstrijden gecomponeerd, waaronder de International Mozart Competition Salzburg in 1988 en de European Piano Competition in 1987. Zijn werken worden gespeeld door Heinrich Schiff, Roberto Szidon, Roberto Fabbricanti, Edda Silvestri, Gottfried Schneider, Irena Grafenauer, Elliot Fisk en de ensembles Musica Viva (Dresden) en Alter Ego (Rome). Dirigenten met faam leiden zijn symfonische werken : Ernest Bour, Leopold Hager, Günther Neuhold, Hans Graf, Udo Zimmermann. Naast zijn werk als componist wijdt Alexander Müllenbach zich heel intensief aan het onderwijs, meer bepaald in het Mozarteum in Salzburg, waar hij ook directeur is van de Sommerakademie, en het Conservatorium van Luxemburg. Hij treedt daarnaast zelf op in Europa en Canada als pianist, kamermuzikant en begeleider.
