I delight in the story of the man to came to his old friend, a music teacher, and said to him in that flippant way we moderns use, "What's the good news today?" The old man never said a word. It is 'A' today, it was 'A' five thousand years ago, and it will be 'A' ten thousand years from now. The soprano upstairs sings off-key, the tenor across the hall flats his high notes, and the piano downstairs is out of tune." He struck the note again, and said, "That is 'A,' my friend, and that's the good news for today!" That is what Jesus Christ is -- unchanging. He is "the same yesterday, today, and forever," (Hebrews 13:8). That is how you know you have truth. Remember that when you feel defeated, when you are under attack, when doubts come flooding into your mind. Remember that you have girded up your loins with truth; you have found him who is the solid rock:

Consiste en una carrera que se inicia con el trayecto de la playa de Lloret a la playa de Santa Cristina, y a la cual se da la salida cuando se divisa el campanario de la ermita de Sant Pere del Bosc, situada en una colina interior, después de alzar los remos mientras se canta la Salve Regina.

Aquesta regata és una competició tradicional entre els nou clubs de rem locals que representen els antics gremis o confraries. Consisteix en una carrera que s’inicia fent el trajecte de la platja de Lloret cap a la platja de Santa Cristina, i a la qual es dóna la sortida quan es veu el campanar de l’ermita de Sant Pere del Bosc, situada en un turó interior, després d’alçar els rems mentre es canta la Salve Regina. Les embarcacions, situades en l’ordre assignat en el sorteig fet a la plaça de l’Ajuntament a la nit del dia 23, amb tripulacions compostes per vuit vogadors més el timoner, remen intensament durant els aproximadament 2,5 km fins a la platja de Santa Cristina. El guanyador no obté un premi material; senzillament assoleix l’honor de la victòria, un honor molt preuat entre els equips que competeixen. La processó marítima existia ja al segle XVI, i les embarcacions a rem transportaven la comitiva composta pels clergues, autoritats, obreres, músics i altres. L’expressió “amorrar” significa tocar terra la proa d’una embarcació. El “crit de guerra” dels antics vogadors, era “Amorra, amorra, sa relíquia! Amorra!”. Sembla que, antigament, els guanyadors rebien com a premi un xai, possible origen de l’actual “estofat” que es serveix després de la missa, a la plaça del pi de l’ermita de Santa Cristina. Finalitzant, en la processó de tornada fins a la platja de Lloret, té lloc una regata amb les mateixes embarcacions, amb tripulacions femenines.
