Many of the artworks of Arab origin at the thirteenth Documenta in Kassel are socio-critical and political, and explore the interaction with the media. The Arab revolutions also constitute a ‘nerve’ in the Documenta’s central exhibition hall, the ‘brain’, thereby emphasising the global significance of the Arab Spring.

Die auf der dOCUMENTA (13) in Kassel vorgestellten Kunstwerke arabischer Provenienz sind oft gesellschaftskritisch und politisch engagiert. Die arabischen Revolutionen bilden auch einen „Nervenstrang“ im zentralen Ausstellungsraum der dOCUMENTA, dem „Gehirn“, wobei die globale Signifikanz des Arabischen Frühlings betont wird. كثيرا ما تتسم الأعمال الفنية المعروضة لفنانين عرب في معرض دوكومنتا بكاسل بنقدها للمجتمع وبفعاليتها السياسية وبأنها تتناول قضية التعامل مع وسائل الإعلام. كما تشكل الثورات العربية «عصب» قاعة العرض الرئيسية في دوكومنتا، وهذه القاعة هي بمثابة «الدماغ» الذي يتم التأكيد فيه على الأهمية العالمية للربيع العربي. لوته فاسهاور
