With its modular design the KAIstack basic structure is comparable to a unit construction system and can be assembled according to every customer´s individual requests. Due to its flexibility and modularity KAIstack supports all KNX configuration modes just as all KNX device models and customizing hardware platforms can easily be done. A configuration change of KAIstack hardly influences any application. During an application development process the opportunity to change the configuration of the stack even relieves the burden of early decisions.

Die Grundstruktur des KAIstack ist modular aufgebaut, vergleichbar mit einem Bausteinsystem und kann in ähnlicher Art je nach Kundenwunsch und Anforderung konstruiert werden. Die flexibel anpassbare Modul-bauweise ermöglicht neben der Unterstützung sämtlicher KNX-Gerätemodelle und KNX-Inbetriebnahmemodi auch eine leichte Anpassung an alle Entwicklungsplattformen. Eine Veränderung der Konfiguration von KAIstack hat fast keinen Einfluss auf die Applikation. Sogar nachträglich oder beispielsweise während der Entwicklung der Applikation kann der Aufbau des Stacks noch verändert werden.

The KNX communication stack KAIstack is the main software component of KAI (KNX Advanced Interface) and offers all the functionality needed for KNX devices. It is KNX certified in a lot of different configurations, fully ETS compatible and contains all elements required by the KNX standard. With its modular design the KAIstack basic structure is comparable to a unit construction system and can be assembled according to every customer´s individual requests. Due to its flexibility and modularity KAIstack is principally able to support all KNX configuration modes just as all KNX device models while customizing for hardware platforms still can be done. A configuration change of KAIstack hardly influences the application. So, during an application development process the opportunity to change the configuration of the stack sometimes relieves the burden of early decisions.

Der KNX-Kommunikationsstack KAIstack ist die wichtigste Software-Komponente von KAI (KNX Advanced Interface) und ermöglicht die volle KNX-Funktionalität für Endgeräte. KNX-zertifiziert in vielen verschiedenen Konfigurationen enthält der Stack alle vom KNX-Standard geforderten Bestandteile und ist vollständig ETS-kompatibel. Aufgrund seiner modularen Grundstruktur kann der KAIstack auf individuelle Kundenwünsche zugeschnitten werden. Diese Flexibilität und Modularität macht es grund- sätzlich möglich, den TAPKO KNX-Stack an verschiedenste Anforderungen anzupassen und alle KNX-Inbetriebnahmemodi sowie KNX-Gerätemodelle zu unterstützen. Ebenso lässt sich der KAIstack leicht an die verschiedenen Hardware-Entwicklungsplattformen anpassen. Die Applikation selbst wird von Veränderungen der Stack-Konfiguration kaum beeinflusst - alle Einstellungen werden für die Applikation verborgen durchgeführt. Sogar während der Applikationsentwicklung ist es noch möglich, die Stack-Konfiguration ohne großen Aufwand zu verändern.
