A semi-permanent cultural centre in a housing estate under construction (Vathorst); a modest building suitable for many programmes. Cultural Centre De Kamers is a project by the ‘inventors’ of the parasite. This cultural centre is as simple as it is ingenious, as sustainable as it is beautiful, as innovative as it is poetic. Two timber structures in which the constructional elements have remained visible lend the huge building a homely character. The volume of the rooms in the building can be adapted to multifunctional uses. Sympathetic, inexpensive, very practical; a feast for the eye and a pleasure to nominate.
