After the seminar, Sadık Gültekin talked with the candidates one by one and shared his ideas about university preferences. Gültekin also gave some advices to the families of the university candidates and said, "Let the students go after their dreams. Parents should not give this decision. You will of course guide them in their preferences but let the children give their decision. University candidates should write the department in their dreams. You may make some preferences that are above your point. Not the order but your point is important in preference. And do not write the departments that you do not want to study at all.”

Şener advised the students to prefer the department that they want to study at, and said, “The most common mistake is to write the departments that have the highest point to the top even though the student do not want to study at that department. You will choose the profession which you want most.” Cihat Şener stated that there are students who are uncertain about state and foundation universities, and said, “There are foundation universities which have a well qualified academic staff, and that teaches computer and two foreign languages. The students who are educated at these universities and have a brilliant career prove this.”

Following that the first of the two-step exam will be conducted on July 27. After the written exam, students will be interviewed on July 28-29. The results will be announced on July 30, and registrations will take place on August 4-5. 50 students will be admitted to the department where young chefs will learn about the finest details on Turkish and world cuisine. 5 out of 50 of these students will have full; another 10 will have 25% scholarships.

Öğrencilerin, uluslararası boyuttaki işbirlikleriyle Michelin yıldızlarına sahip restoranlarda staj yaptığına dikkat çeken Öztürk, öğrencilerin de Türk mutfağını dünyaya taşıdığını aktardı. Öztürk, Mutfak Sanatları ve Yönetimi Bölümü'ne YGS’nin her hangi bir puan türünden en az 140.000 ve daha fazla ham puana sahip olan adayların ön kayıt yaptırabileceğini ifade etti.

Öztürk reminded that international collaborations allow students to perform their internship at Michelin starred restaurants, and give them an opportunity to promote Turkish Cuisine. Öztürk indicated that prospective students who obtained a raw score of at least 140.000 and above in any score type of YGS will be able to pre-register.

Solis Proje Atölyesi, Ege Turistik İşletmeleri ve Konaklama Birliği ve Bernar Kariyer Okulu ana sponsorluğunda gerçekleştirilen yarışmada, Öner, üniversite öğrencileri arasında en iyi İngilizce konuşan yarışmacı seçildi.

Öner, after the pre-selections, made it to the top 10 at the best English speakers of Turkey contest by delivering a speech on a subject chosen by the jury. Öner was selected as the best English speaking contestant among university students at the contest sponsored by Solis Project Workshop, Association of Aegean Tourism Enterprises and Accommodation, and Bemar Career Schools.

Prospective students will be informed about 8 faculties, 35 undergraduate and 20 associate programs within the University in addition to vocational schools and, “Fashion and Textile Design” and “Culinary Arts and Management” departments that admit students through aptitude tests. Students, who feel unsure about which path they want to follow, will be guided in making the right decisions about their future careers. They will also be briefed about USA-SUNY (State University of New York) dual diploma programs, ERASMUS student Exchange programs with 120 universities abroad, and academic collaborations with 27 universities.
