“The Pigs” es una mirada tragicómica que repasa los tópicos, merecidos o no, con los que tienen que convivir los países del sur de Europa. Una visión a mitad de camino entre la caricatura y la dura realidad, que muestra los restos del lento naufragio de la cuna de Europa, a través de los ojos de un economista cruel.

  Maridajes X: Ramón Masa...  
Hemos querido destacar en esta exposición la singularidad de sus trabajos, sus perspectivas fotográficas diferentes, creando el maridaje entre dos de sus series más importantes: Sanfermines de Ramón Masats y la Semana Santa de Terré. La resonancia de sus miradas nos permite acercarnos a la atmósfera de una época gris, dura y al mismo tiempo vital.
Ramón Masats and Ricard Terré belong to the brilliant generation of photographers that participated in the renovation of Spanish photography in the sixties, these two from the New Vanguard movement in Catalonia while others from Almeria, Madrid and many other parts of Spain. The members of this movement claimed a new photography with a boundless energy (almost all were very young) and held the belief that photography was an art in its own terms. The two artists of this exhibition shared many creative principles and a good friendship, which led them to exhibit together from the very beginning, often accompanied by Xavier Miserachs. In this show we would like to highlight the uniqueness of their work and their different photographic perspectives, by creating a marriage between two of their most important series: San Fermín Days by Ramón Masats and Easter by Ricard Terré. The resonance of their way of seeing allows us to approach the atmosphere of a gray, tough but at the same time vital era.

Hemos querido destacar en esta exposición la singularidad de sus trabajos, sus perspectivas fotográficas diferentes, creando el maridaje entre dos de sus series más importantes: Sanfermines de Ramón Masats y la Semana Santa de Terré. La resonancia de sus miradas nos permite acercarnos a la atmósfera de una época gris, dura y al mismo tiempo vital.

Ramón Masats i Ricard Terré pertanyen a la brillant generació de fotògrafs que en els anys setanta van participar en la renovació de la fotografia espanyola, ells des del moviment de la Nova Avantguarda a Catalunya i altres des de Almería, Madrid i molts altres indrets de Espanya. Els integrants d'aquestmoviment van reivindicar una nova fotografia amb una energia desbordant (casi tots eren molt joves) i van mantenir la convicció de que la fotografia era una expressió artística amb unes claus pròpies. Els dos autors d'aquesta exposició van compartir molts postulats creatius i una bona amistat, el que va propiciar que exposaren junts des dels seus inicis, moltes vegades en companyia de Xavier Miserachs. Hem volgutdestacar en aquesta exposició la singularitat del seus treballs, las seves perspectives fotogràfica diferents, creant el maridatge entre dos de las seves sèries més importants: Sanfermines de Ramón Masats i la Setmana Santa de Terré. La ressonància de las seves mirades ens permet apropar-nos a la atmosfera d'una època gris,dura i al mateix temps vital.
