El método de acceso de la UA es 802.1X. En la configuración de la red inalámbrica de la UA se utiliza ese método de acceso, que es el mejor, el mayoritario y el recomendado. Sin embargo hay organizaciones, aunque cada vez menos, que tienen otros modos de acceso mas antiguos y menos fiables.
