Die Forst Bierbrauerei, übrigens auch namens-gebend für den Ortsteil, ist eine der größten Brauereien Italiens. Sie wurde 1857 vom Meraner Stadtschreiber Franz Tappeiner gegründet, heute werden hier sieben verschiedene Biersorten hergestellt.

The Forst brewery, which is by gave the name to the locality, is one of the largest breweries of Italy. Founded in 1857 by the town clerk Franz Tappeiner, today the “Forst” produces seven different types of beer. A stop at the brewery to taste one of the beers produced right in this place is of course a must-do in your holidays, all the same you should pay a visit to the Castel Foresta, where the famous minne singer Oswald von Wolkenstein was kept imprisoned by his mistress Sabina Jäger. Another virtue of Foresta is of course its vicinity to Merano.

La birreria Forst, alla quale la località deve anche il proprio nome, è la fabbrica di birra più grande d’Italia. Fondata nel 1857 dallo scrivano comunale Franz Tappeiner, oggi la Forst produce sette tipologie di birre. Assolutamente da non perdere è una visita della fabbrica con degustazione di birre, nonché una visita al Castel Foresta dove il famoso menestrello fu recluso dalla sua amante Sabina Jäger. Un ulteriore vantaggio di Foresta è la sua vicinanza a Merano.
