In the context of the festival, curated by Yung Ho Chang, Li Xiangning, and Gao Shiming, the Danish office of Schmidt Hammer Lassen has built a series of pavilions: on one hand, the 190-square-meter all-white ‘Cloud’ consisting of a thin base and roof, fine columns, and hundreds of hanging ropes that move with the wind; on the other hand, under a bridge, installations with a total area of 240 square meters – resembling shipping containers clad with core-ten steel, and with glazed facades looking onto the Huangpu River – that accommodate a café, a bookstore, and an exhibition gallery.

Bajo los títulos ‘Reflecta’ y ‘Fabrica’, se celebra hasta el 19 de diciembre en el distrito Xuhui de Shanghái la Bienal de Arquitectura y Arte Contemporáneo West Bund 2013. Dentro del marco del festival, comisariado por Yung Ho Chang, Li Xiangning y Gao Shiming, los daneses Schmidt Hammer Lassen han construido una serie de pabellones: por un lado, el llamado ‘Nube’ de 190 metros cuadrados, con predominio absoluto del color blanco, delgados basamento y cubierta, finas columnas, y cientos de cuerdas colgantes que se mueven con el viento; por otro, situadas bajo una pasarela, las instalaciones con una superficie total de 240 metros cuadrados —similares a contenedores de transporte revestidos en acero cortén, y fachadas acristaladas con vistas al río Huangpu— que albergan una cafetería, una librería y una galería expositiva.
