Depuis plus de 30 ans, les PPUR valorisent les travaux d'enseignement et de recherche issus de l'EPFL, des universités et des écoles d'ingénieurs en Suisse (UNIL, IDHEAP, HES, etc.) et étrangères ; elles sont notamment l'éditeur officiel de l'Institut national des sciences appliquées (INSA) de Lyon ainsi que de l'Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL).

For more than 30 years, the PPUR has focussed on producing quality works related to the research and teaching of the EPFL, as well as of other Swiss universities and schools of engineering (UNIL, IDHEAP, HEC, etc.) and of institutions of higher learning abroad. Notably, the PPUR is the official publisher of the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) of Lyons, France, and the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL). The PPUR publishes textbooks and reference works over a broad range of subject areas (engineering, architecture, management, etc.), in French and in English; the latter are distributed worldwide under the imprint EPFL Press by the Taylor & Francis Group. In addition, the PPUR is the publisher of the successful Collection Le Savoir Suisse, the Swiss version of the famous Que sais-je ?. Nearly 80 volumes of this encyclopedic series have already been published.
