Tim su riječima volonteri Centra za mirovne studije, studenti Mirovnih studija, članovi No Border incijative, Medike i White Angelsa danas na Trgu Europe održali prosvjednu akciju kojom su na Svjetski dan izbjeglica željeli senzibilizirati javnost po pitanju migranata poginulih u Sredozemnom moru i europskih politika koje izravno ili neizravno utječu na njihov broj.

Najava proširenja ovlasti vojske nije samo prijetnja ljudima koji bježe pred ratovima, već je i prijetnja svim građanima Hrvatske jer dovodi do militarizacije društva i konačno povrede Ustava RH. Prema sadašnjem Ustavu RH, uloga oružanih snaga je da štite suverenitet i neovisnost RH te se mogu koristiti kao pomoć i u protupožarnoj zaštiti, spašavanju te u nadzoru i zaštiti prava RH na moru.
How did we change so easily from a country that welcomed a million refugees during its most difficult times to a country that is threatening them with its armed forces? The Croatian response to wires, fences and militarisation, used by the other countries on the so called Balkan route, must be different. Instead of taking over the foreign policy initiative, along with some other EU member states, and stop the militarisation of Europe, contrary to majority of the public, we have decided to succumb to policies of using military forces, wires and closing the borders to people fleeing wars, which made us close to countries such as Hungary.
