Limski je zaljev jedinstveni geomorfološko-hidrogeološki krajolik koji zaštićuje i zakon Republike Hrvatske. Pored toga proglašen je i specijalnim rezervatom u moru, što ga čini pogodnim za uzgajanje školjkaša i ribe.

The trail starts on the meadow situated at the beginning of the 12-kilometre-long Lim Bay (Limski zaljev), a flooded karst valley on the western coast of Istria. Lim Bay is a unique geomorphological and hydrological landscape protected by Croatian law. Furthermore, the bay was designated as special sea reserve, which makes it a suitable bivalve and fish hatchery. These sea delicacies are the reason why many foreign and domestic guests stop over on the coast of the emerald blue bay. Others cannot resist the unspoiled beauty of the nature. Frequent guests on the slopes of the bay are also adrenaline lovers who choose to explore the cliffs and rocks of the bay by climbing. In the area you can also find the path that leads to Romuald’s cave, which was named after St. Romuald, the hermit who, as the legend says, once lived there. The trail “Lim – St. Martin” follows the path along the sea in the eastern part of Lim Bay and it gradually ascends to fields over Lim at a height of 140 meters. The trail runs around the 217 meters high peak of St. Martin, which you can climb following the path that turns left at the crossing before the village of Bubani. The hilltop lookout offers a stunning view of the surrounding scenery. On the top of the hill, there is the Church of St. Martin, an antenna mast and a radar antenna. When you are ready to say goodbye to the marvellous vistas, go back by following the same trail all the way to the junction. Proceed straight through the village of Bubani and stick to the asphalt road, which will lead you to the village of Sošići. The trail turns left after the bocce court and descends into the Lim Valley. At the bottom of the valley, the trail gets onto a gravel road, turns left and soon arrives back to the starting point, the peaceful meadow at the beginning of Lim Bay.

Die Wanderstrecke beginnt auf der Wiese am Anfang der 12 Kilometer langen Limbucht, einem überschwemmten Karsttal an der Westküste Istriens. Die Limbucht ist eine einzigartige geomorphologische und hydrogeologische Landschaft, die durch Gesetz der Republik Kroatien unter Naturschutz steht. Darüber hinaus ist sie zum Meeres-Sonderreservat erklärt worden, was die Zucht von Muscheln und Fischen begünstigt. Viele Gäste aus dem In- und Ausland machen an den Ufern dieses smaragdgrünen Meeresarms Halt, gerade um sich diese Meeresdelikatessen schmecken zu lassen. Andere wiederum können den Besonderheiten der Natur nicht widerstehen, und häufig sind an diesen Abhängen auch Adrenalinsüchtige zu Gast, die auf Klettertouren die hiesigen Felsenriffe und Bergwände erkunden. Hier beginnt auch der Pfad zur Romualdo-Grotte, die nach dem Einsiedler St. Romualdo benannt wurde, der Überlieferungen zufolge hier gelebt haben soll. Die Wanderstrecke „Lim – St. Martin“ verläuft am Ostende des Limkanals am Meer entlang und erhebt sich allmählich auf die 140 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel liegenden Felder über Lim. Der Weg führt uns herum bis zur höchsten Stelle St. Martin, die wir erreichen, wenn wir an der Kreuzung vor dem Dorf Bubani links abbiegen. Von diesem 217 Meter hohen Berg und Aussichtspunkt bietet sich ein großartiger Blick auf die umgebende Landschaft. Auf der Bergspitze stehen auch die gleichnamige Kirche, ein Antennenturm und eine Radarantenne. Wenn Sie bereit sind, sich von diesen wunderschönen Aussichten zu trennen, nehmen Sie den selben Weg zurück, bis zur Kreuzung, wo es auf der Asphaltstraße durch das Dorf Bubani weiter geht bis zum Dorf Sošići. Neben dem Boccia-Spielplatz biegen Sie links ab und steigen langsam in das Limtal hinab. Unten angelangt erreichen Sie einen Schotterweg, wo Sie wieder links abbiegen – und dann sind Sie schnell wieder an der Wiese, Ihrem Ausgangspunkt.

Il percorso va intrapreso dal prato, che si trova all'inizio del canale di Leme, valle carsica sommersa sulla costa occidentale dell'Istria lunga 12 km. Il canale di Leme fa parte di un paesaggio geomorfologico e idrogeologico unico e tutelato dalla legge croata. È stato inoltre nominato riserva marina speciale, il che lo rende adatto per la coltivazione di molluschi e pesce. Molti ospiti sia stranieri sia locali si fermano sulle rive color smeraldo del canale per gustare le sue prelibatezze. Altri ancora non possono resistere le particolarità della natura, e numerosi sono gli appassionati di adrenalina che arrampicandosi sulle pendici della baia vanno ad esplorare le sue scogliere e rocce. Qui inizia anche il percorso che vi conduce fino alla grotta di Romualdo, che prende il nome dell’eremita San Romualdo, che, secondo la leggenda, viveva nel luogo. Il percorso Leme – S. Martino costeggia il mare nella parte orientale del canale di Leme e sale gradualmente fino a 140 metri sopra il livello del mare fino a raggiungere i campi. Il sentiero vi conduce tutt’attorno alla vetta S. Martino, che raggiungerete dopo aver svoltato a sinistra all’incrocio nei pressi del villaggio Bubani. La cima del monte S. Martino, alto 217 metri, offre una magnifica vista sul paesaggio circostante. In cima ci sono anche l’omonima chiesa, la torre per l’antenna e l'antenna radar. Quando sarete pronti ad abbandonare le splendide vedute ripercorrerete la stessa strada fino all’incrocio dove proseguite dritto attraverso il villaggio Bubani e seguendo la strada asfaltata arrivate fino al villaggio Sošići. Nei pressi del bocciodromo, svoltate a sinistra scendendo verso la valle di Leme. In fondo raggiungete la strada sterrata, e girando a sinistra ben presto ritornate al prato da cui siete partiti.
