Na pierwszy rzut oka prezentowane zdjęcie nie wygląda szczególnie interesująco. Widzimy na nim zaledwie kilka jasnych gwiazd oraz nieco więcej słabszych obiektów. Ale co ciekawe – wszystkie z tych słabych punktów to w rzeczywistości nie gwiazdy naszej Galaktyki – Drogi Mlecznej, lecz odległe galaktyki zawierające miliardy gwiazd takich jak Słońce!

At first glance this new space photo doesn’t look very special, just a few bright stars and a sprinkling of fainter ones. But in fact almost all of those fainter objects are not stars in our Galaxy, the Milky Way. They are actually very remote galaxies, each containing billions of stars!

Auf den ersten Blick sieht dieses neue Weltraumfoto nicht sehr besonders aus, nur ein paar wenige helle Sterne und verstreut einige schwächere. In Wirklichkeit aber sind fast alle dieser schwächeren Objekte keine Sterne unserer eigenen Galaxie, der Milchstraße. Es sind vielmehr sehr weit entfernte Galaxien, die jeweils Milliarden von Sternen enthalten!

A primera vista esta nueva foto del espacio no parece muy especial, sólo unas pocas estrellas brillantes y otras más débiles salpicadas por toda la imagen. Pero de hecho, casi todos estos objetos más débiles no son estrellas de nuestra Galaxia, la Vía Láctea. ¡Son realmente galaxias muy remotas, cada una con miles de millones de estrellas!

A prima vista questa fotografia dello spazio non sembra tanto speciale: soltanto qualche stella brillante e una spolverata di stelline meno luminose. Ma in realtà quasi tutti quegli oggetti più deboli non sono stelle della nostra galassia, la Via Lattea. Sono invece galassie lontanissime, ognuna delle quali contiene miliardi di stelle!

À primeira vista esta nova foto do céu noturno não parece nada de muito especial, apenas algumas estrelas brilhantes e uns "salpicos" de estrelas mais fracas. Mas na verdade, quase todos estes objetos mais ténues não são estrelas da nossa galáxia, a Via Láctea. Na realidade, trata-se de galáxias muito distantes em que cada uma contém milhares de milhões de estrelas!

Op het eerste gezicht is er niets bijzonders te zien aan deze foto: een paar heldere sterren en een heleboel zwakkere. Maar in werkelijkheid zijn deze zwakke stipjes en vlekjes helemaal geen sterren in ons eigen sterrenstelsel (de Melkweg). Het zijn heel ver weg gelegen sterrenstelsels, die elk miljarden sterren bevatten!

La prima vedere în acestă fotografie din spațiu nu vedem nimic deosebit, doar câteva stele strălucitoare și altele mai puțin strălucitoare împrăștiate în jurul lor. Aceste stele împrăștiate nu sunt stele din galaxia noastră, Calea Lactee. Ele reprezintă galaxii foarte îndepărtate, fiecare conținând miliarde de stele!
