De mens gaf dus namen aan alle tamme dieren en aan alle vogels van de lucht, en aan al de wilde beesten; maar een hulp die bij hem paste vond de mens niet. . Sint Franciscus is een mooi voorbeeld van hoe we veel van dieren kunnen houden zonder te overdrijven.

God has entrusted animals to the care of man (Gen. 2:19-20) Gen. 2:19-20: So out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name. The man gave names to all cattle, and to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for the man there was not found a helper fit for him.. St. Francis is a great example of how we can love animals, without overdoing it. We sometimes can have a great bond with an animal.

C’étaient des êtres vivants, et l’homme donna un nom à chacun. L’homme donna donc leurs noms à tous les animaux, aux oiseaux du ciel et à toutes les bêtes des champs. Mais il ne trouva aucune aide qui lui corresponde.. Saint François est un bon exemple de la façon dont nous pouvons aimer les animaux sans en faire trop et nous pouvons parfois avoir un lien particulier avec un animal.

Così l'uomo impose nomi a tutto il bestiame, a tutti gli uccelli del cielo e a tutti gli animali selvatici, ma per l'uomo non trovò un aiuto che gli corrispondesse.. S. Francesco è una grande esempio di come possiamo gli animali, senza esagerare. A volte abbiamo un forte legame con un animale.

Bůh svěřil zvířata do péče člověka (Gn 2,19-20) Gn 2,19-20: Hospodin Bůh utvořil ze země všechnu divokou zvěř a všechny nebeské ptáky a přivedl je k člověku, aby viděl, jaké jim dá jméno: takové mělo být jejich jméno, jak všechny živé tvory pojmenuje. A člověk dal jméno všem krotkým zvířatům, nebeským ptákům a veškeré divoké zvěři, ale pro člověka se nenašla pomoc, která by byla jeho protějškem. . Svatý František je skvělým příkladem toho, jak můžeme milovat zvířata, aniž bychom to přeháněli. Někdy nám mohou být zvířata velmi blízká.

Bóg powierzył człowiekowi zwierzęta pod opiekę (Rdz 2, 19-20)Rdz 2, 19-20: Ulepiwszy z gleby wszelkie zwierzęta lądowe i wszelkie ptaki powietrzne, Pan Bóg przyprowadził je do mężczyzny, aby przekonać się, jaką on da im nazwę. Każde jednak zwierzę, które określił mężczyzna, otrzymało nazwę "istota żywa". I tak mężczyzna dał nazwy wszelkiemu bydłu, ptakom powietrznym i wszelkiemu zwierzęciu polnemu, ale nie znalazła się pomoc odpowiednia dla mężczyzny.. Doskonały przykład dobrej, nieprzesadzonej miłości do zwierząt dał św. Franciszek.
