It turns out that a micro-scale multicultural utopia is not a dream – it actually exists on the outskirts of Bern, Switzerland. Almost 150 allotments are inhabited by representatives of twenty different nations. They create a closed community, with its own structures and laws, consisting of individuals looking for an escape from the big-city life in the bosom of nature. The director not only documents this peculiar social organism, but also depicts the intriguing portraits of the individuals constituting it.
