LINZ AG LINIEN is the public transport company for the urban district of Linz, and at the end of 2012, its suburban train hall was refurbished with an efficient LED lighting solution from Siteco. The hall with a floor area of approximately 4,500 m² is used as a storage and turning location for the company's 20 suburban trains, and minor maintenance, cleaning and service work is also carried out at the site. This in turn demands specific lighting levels to ensure precise work and also the safety of employees. Thus the need was to replace an insufficient quantity of highly soiled, obsolete luminaires equipped with fluorescent lamps and conventional control gear that also generated insufficient levels of illuminance.
