Securing funds is a highly context specific challenge. One very useful way to start is by contacting your National Youth (Information) Council. It has expertise in giving advice on these kinds of matters, and no one will know the environment for youth participation in your country better.* Another way to secure funds is to prepare an application for a foundation or programme financing youth participation projects. For instance, have a look at the programmes of Erasmus+ and the European Youth Foundation to see whether your project matches one of their many yearly calls. And lastly, if a public administration has specifically asked for your project or endorsed it, you could ask them to find money in their budget to cover the project expenses.

Ottenere fondi per il proprio progetto è una sfida fortemente legata al contesto. Un modo molto proficuo per iniziare è quello di contattare il Forum Nazionale Giovani. Nessun altro organo nel tuo paese conosce meglio l’ambiente in cui si sviluppa la partecipazione giovanile e può consigliarti in maniera competente su questa tematica.* Un altro modo per raccogliere fondi è di preparare una candidatura per una fondazione o un programma che abbiano come finalità il finanziamento di progetti di partecipazione giovanile. Per esempio, dai un’occhiata ai programmi di Erasmus+ e della Fondazione Europea per la Gioventù: tra i bandi annuali presentati da queste organizzazioni potrebbe essercene uno che si addice al tuo progetto. Infine, se la pubblica amministrazione ti ha incaricato del progetto o ti ha promesso il suo sostegno, puoi chiedere ai suoi rappresentanti di utilizzare una parte del bilancio a loro disposizione per coprire i costi del progetto.
