But God is both gracious as well as righteous. Because God is righteous, he can not simply overlook man’s sin. He must judge sin. You are a sinner. You can not remove your sins, because God is righteous. Since man had sinned, God’s law requires that he die. But God is also merciful. Jesus came to die in man’s place, so that man can be legally set free. Believe that Jesus died in your place because of your sins. If you believe on him as your crucified, buried and risen Savior, you receive forgiveness for all of your sins and has his gift of eternal salvation by faith. To reject Jesus as Savior of the world brings the judgment of God. Knowing Jesus is the very best thing in this world.
