Bari ligt in het Zuid-Italiaanse gebied Puglia, ook wel eens aangeduid als de hak van Italië. Dankzij de kustligging doen veel schepen de stad aan, zo is het een populaire aanmeerplaats voor cruiseschepen.De stad heeft een goed bewaard historisch centrum met een groot aantal pleintjes, kerken waaronder de Dom uit de 12e eeuw en als hoogtepunt het kasteel.

The city of Bari is located in the Southern Italian Puglia district, often referred to as the heel of the boot which Italy looks like on a map. Due to its location many ships visit the city for cruises.The cities main tourist attractions include it’s well preserved historical city centre with a large number of squares, churches amongst which the 12th century cathedral, and the castello. Thanks to the soft limestone many caves are found around the city, the Grotte Castellane is the most frequently visited.

Bari est situé dans la région de Puglia, au sud de l’Italie, qui est aussi appelée la péninsule palentine. Grâce à sa localisation sur la côte, beaucoup de navires font relâche dans cette ville et beaucoup de croisières y amarrent. Le centre-ville a bien été préservé avec un grand nombre de petites places, d’églises, dont le dôme du 12ième siècle et, pour couronner le tout, le château. Grâce aux pierres calcaires, il y a beaucoup de grottes autour de Bari, dont la Grotte Castellane est la plus visitée.

So ist Bari ein beliebter Anlegeplatz für Cruise-Schiffe. Die Stadt hat ein gut erhaltenes historisches Zentrum mit vielen Plätzen und Kirchen, wie dem Dom aus dem 12. Jahrhundert, und als Höhepunkt dem Kastell. Dank des häufigen Vorkommens von Kalkstein sind in der Umgebung Baris auch Höhlen zu finden, von denen die Grotte di Castellana am meisten besucht wird.
