Das resultierende Getränk erreicht aufgrund der fehlenden Temperaturregelung der Anlage nur einen Alkoholgehalt von gut 10%, ist also von der Stärke her eher mit Wein vergleichbar als mit anderen Schnäpsen. Der Geschmack ist leicht käsig bis hin zu einer etwas ranzigen Note. Er ist definitiv gewöhnungsbedürftig, bei ordentlicher Qualität aber durchaus geniessbar. Mongol Arkhi aus der dritten Destillationsphase kann aber auch schmecken, als ob eine Herde Ziegen hindurchmarschiert wäre.
