Здесь находятся остатки лагеря Мраморный Ключ, в котором проходила добыча урановой руды. Мы провели в Мраморном ущелье несколько дней, тщательно изучая и документируя лагерь, а также рудники, использую панорамную съемку, фотограмметрию и производя всевозможные замеры. Кроме подробного описания мы собираемся создать виртуальный тур и ЗD модель лагеря и предметов лагерного быта. Результаты экспедиции будут обнародованы до конца этого года, а пока мы будем постепенно публиковать информацию о том, как все прошло и что за данные мы собрали.

Il tournait toujours à droite. C’était comme si un fond de logique était toujours présent mais il tournait aux lumières seulement… Il luttait très fort, je suis sûr. Puis, au bout de Mont-Royal, il a vu la montagne devant lui et là, il a paniqué.

Usama Sulayman Mansur Hilali: We were not there for the attack on government troops. We came several days later. After the Free Syrian Army had captured Raʾs al‑ʿAyn, I contacted our friends in Aleppo and Idlib; we wanted to meet in Raʾs al‑ʿAyn and make the city a base from which we could fight. We hadn’t imagined that we would fight against the PYD here. When the first problems with the PYD arose, we were right in the middle. All those who died were caught in an ambush by the PYD. No one intended to fight against the PYD. That day, we approached a PYD roadblock and said that we had freed Raʾs al‑ʿAyn from government units and would not accept that they were building their bases so close to the city. They had built two large bases in the immediate vicinity of the city and between Raʾs al‑ʿAyn and ad‑Darbasiyah. We also said that they did not have a clear stance toward the regime. There were no problems at the first base. There were twelve PYD fighters, heavily armed, but at our request, they removed their roadblock. We then drove to the next roadblock. We had hardly left our vehicle when the PYD began shooting at us. Four fighters of the Mishʿal at‑Tammu Brigade died. Our intentions were not to attack them. If we had planned to do that, we would have done it immediately. The FSA freed all of Raʾs al‑ʿAyn from the regime, yet fewer people died in the process than on that day. We lost seventeen people. Later Ronahî‑TV released several reports about us; most of the footage was taken from the camera of one of the dead. After they killed Hozan, they took his camera.

Usama Sulaiman Mansur Hilali: Beim Angriff auf die Regierungstruppen waren wir nicht dabei. Wir sind einige Tage später dazugekommen. Nachdem die Freie Syrische Armee Raʾs al‑ʿAin eingenommen hatte, habe ich unsere Freunde in Aleppo und Idlib kontaktiert, wir wollten uns in Raʾs al‑ʿAin treffen und den Ort zu unserem Stützpunkt machen, von dem aus wir kämpfen können. Wir hatten uns nicht vorgestellt, dass wir hier gegen die PYD kämpfen würden. Als es die ersten Probleme mit der PYD gab, waren wir mittendrin. Alle, die umgekommen sind, sind in einen Hinterhalt der PYD geraten. Wir wollten nicht gegen die PYD zu kämpfen. Wir sind an jenem Tag auf eine Straßensperre der PYD zugegangen und haben gesagt, dass wir Raʾs al‑ʿAin von Einheiten des Regimes befreit haben und nicht akzeptieren werden, dass sie ihre Stützpunkte so nah bei der Stadt errichten. Sie hatten in unmittelbarer Nähe der Stadt sowie zwischen Raʾs al‑ʿAin und ad‑Darbasiya zwei große Stützpunkte errichtet. Wir haben auch gesagt, dass ihre Haltung zum Regime nicht eindeutig ist. Beim ersten Stützpunkt gab es keine Probleme. Hier waren zwölf schwer bewaffnete PYD‑Kämpfer, aber sie haben nach unserer Aufforderung ihre Straßensperre aufgehoben. Wir sind dann zur nächsten Straßensperre gefahren. Kaum hatten wir unsere Wagen verlassen, hat die PYD auf uns geschossen. Hier sind vier Kämpfer der Mischʿal-at‑Tammu-Brigade gestorben. Unsere Absicht war nicht, sie anzugreifen. Hätten wir das vorgehabt, hätten wir es gleich getan. Die FSA hat ganz Raʾs al‑ʿAin vom Regime befreit, dabei sind weniger Personen umgekommen als an jenem Tag. Wir haben siebzehn Leute verloren. Später hat Ronahî‑TV einige Berichte über uns veröffentlicht. Das meiste Bildmaterial hatten sie aus der Kamera eines der Toten. Nachdem sie Hozan umgebracht hatten, haben sie seine Kamera genommen.
