Seychelles is a member of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), Indian Ocean Commission (IOC) and the Southern African Development Community (SADC). Seychelles has been operating under the Free Trade Area of COMESA since 2009 and is currently negotiating its participation under the SADC Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

Sur le front multilatéral, les Seychelles ont déposé une demande d’adhésion à l’Organisation mondiale du commerce (OMC) en 1995 et progressent vers leur admission. Une troisième réunion du groupe de travail s’est tenue en juillet 2012 (la précédente avait eu lieu en 2010) suite à la présentation par le pays d’une proposition révisée pour les biens et services (en avril et mai 2012) et à la mise en place récente d’une mission à Genève.
