Par exemple, nous avons un projet originalement destiné pour la télé… Notre projet est donc étalonné en REC709 en encodage RGB. Les producteurs décident de faire une sortie pour le cinéma. Elle sera préparée en DCP (Digital Cinema Package) qui lui est régi par un espace couleur différent : DCI-P3* en encodage XYZ. Essentiellement, si on prend la version REC709 et qu’on la présente sur un projecteur de cinéma, aux normes DCI, les couleurs seront un peu décontrastées, désaturées et quelques peu vertes. Il faut donc convertir l’espace couleur à l’aide d’une LUT. En somme, cette LUT convertira la température de couleur, les nouvelles coordonnées de l’espace couleur, le gamma et l’encodage des couleurs de RGB à XYZ.

В итоге же получились странные выражения вида «XYZ-режущий инструмент». Во-первых, наименование производителя (XYZ) в русском не должно стоять перед названием продукции. Во вторых, «XYZ» присоединяется дефисом к прилагательному, а не к определяющему его существительному, что грамматически неверно.
