El recinto fortificado de Velichov se encuentra en la parte occidental de la comunidad de Velichov, en la orilla izquierda del río Ohře en la colina Liščí (anteriormente también conocida como Thebisberg, o antes también llamado Děvice).

The hill fort is situated west of the village of Velichov on Lišcí vrch (Fox Hill, formerly known as Thebisberg and sometimes denoted as Děvice) on the left bank of the Ohře River. The settlement is oriented from the west to the east, the Ohře River flows along the eastern spur, and the settlement is in sight of the hill fort in Radošov in the south. The settlement is located on a basalt hummock at an elevation of 484 metres above sea level. The high-level plain is naturally protected by steep slopes in the north, east, and south.

La forteresse de Velichov se trouve à l´ouest de la commune de Velichov sur la rive gauche de l´Ohře sur Liščí vrch (le Sommet du renard), l´ancien Thebisberg, parfois appelé Děvice. Elle est orientée dans un axe est-ouest ; la rivière Ohře passe autour de son éperon est, vers le sud se trouve la forteresse de Radošov. La forteresse se trouve sur une colline basaltique de 484 mètres d´altitude. Le haut plateau de la forteresse possède une protection naturelle par les pentes raides des versants nord, est et sud de la montagne.

Die Velichover Burgstätte befindet sich westlich von der Gemeinde Velichov am linken Ufer der Eger auf dem Hügel Liščí vrch (früher auch Thebisberg, mitunter Děvice genannt). Orientiert ist sie in Richtung West-Ost, wobei die Eger ihren östlichen Felsausläufer umfließt, dann in südlicher Richtung und dann auf Blickweite zur weiteren Burgstätte in Radošov. Die Burgstätte befindet sich auf einem Basaltkegel um den Höhenpunkt von 484 Metern ü.M. Das obere Plateau der Burgstätte hat einen natürlichen Schutz in den steilen Hängen an der nördlichen, östlichen und südlichen Seite des Berges.

La fortezza si trova ad ovest di Velichov, sulla sponda sinistra del fiume Ohře sulla Collina della Volpe (Liščí vrch, un tempo chiamata anche Thebisberg o Děvice). È orientata in direzione ovest – est; il fiume Ohře scorre intorno al suo sperone orientale. Verso sud si può scorgere anche la fortezza di Radošov. La fortezza si trova su un un’altura basaltica ad un’altitudine di circa 484 metri. Gli scoscesi pendii dei lati nord, est e sud costituiscono la difesa naturale dell’altopiano della fortezza.

Велиховское городище находится западнее деревни Велихов, на левом берегу реки Огрже, на Лисьей горе (ранее также Thebisberg, иногда называемый Девице). Оно ориентировано в направлении запад-восток, причем река Огрже омывает его восточный отрог, а в южном направлении видно место еще одного – Радошовского – городища. Городище находится на базальтовом конусе у отметки 484 м.н.м. Его верхнюю площадку защищают крутые склоны северной, восточной и южной стороны горы.
