A great example is the game Darksides for which it has been decided to mix both Japanese and American graphical codes in a single project. And I have to admit this was pretty cool!

That’s a tough one, a big question for our generation. There are certainly a lot of pitfalls inherent in online culture. The Internet is highly addictive, damaging and mind-numbing, shallow, narcissistic etc. But it has the ability to allow us to connect to each other and organize and be productive. Ultimately, it’s the same as with any technology, it can be used positively or negatively. Not a particularly original answer, but that’s the way I see it.

The first is the Aixirivall one, a fountain in the centre of the village popularly known as the “fountain of the village”, in which there are two dates engraved: 1877 (probably the date of construction) and 1958 (moment in which the Comú (local government) carried out improvement works). Just by the side, if you cross a wooden door, you can reach a small covered well, popularly known as “el pou”. Originally, when there was no running water, this was the place where people picked up water and washed their clothes.

Unfortunately for Tawney Meiorin, a similar story wasn't fictional. She was hired as a forest firefighter by the Province of British Columbia. She did her work well until three years later when the province adopted a new series of fitness tests for forest firefighters. She passed three of the tests but failed the fourth one, a 2.5 kilometre run designed to test her aerobic fitness. Since her aerobic fitness fell below the minimum standard, Tawney Meiorin was fired. Tawney felt the test discriminated against women. How? Women have a lower aerobic capacity than most men and cannot increase their capacity - even with ample training - enough to meet the standard.

This is the first book on freshwater fish and crustacean species found on Réunion Island. It is intended for naturalists, researchers, teachers or fishermen. It has been drawn up as a tool for administrators in charge of management and conservation of aquatic communities. The main features of the various aquatic habitats on Réunion are presented in the first part of the book, together with the species found in these habitats. Then comes the history of local ichthyology and species introductions, followed by the catalogue of all species found on the island, with 25 fish species and 10 decapod crustacean species. For each one, a data sheet gives a description of the animal, a commentary on its biology and ecology, as well as its distribution with a detailed map. Original photographs or drawings illustrate the species, and easy to use identification keys will help with species differentiation.

In cars with longitudinally mounted engines, it’s the only system that operates with two clutches. When it switches to front-wheel drive, the front one – a multi-plate clutch at the transmission output – decouples the prop shaft. A dog clutch in the rear gear unit disconnects the drive to the rear wheels. This means the crown wheel, the pinion shaft and the prop shaft all stop moving and thus don’t generate any drag losses.

Ora la strada faceva una leggera curva sulla sinistra, piegava appena e poi, sulla destra, subito ripartiva: la bianca parete di una grande villa rimandava una luce accecante mentre, dall’altra parte, la roccia, ora umida in qualche punto e ricoperta dai lunghi filamenti delle edere, dava un po’ di refrigerio ai due viaggiatori.
