According to a report by Bishop Royas, the church was a very old one, but was rebuilt after Mgr. Dusina's visit. It took over 30 years to be built but then it was well kept by the persons in charge of it; during the last war it was taken over by refugees from the port area but was restored in 1956 and provided with an altar piece depicting St. Peter in chains, painted by Caffaro Rore. Today it is used by various organizations for their meetings.

Wara li twaqqfet il-Kummissjoni Pontifiċja għall-Familja fl-1981, l-Arċisqof ried li f'pajjiżna wkoll ikun hemm kummissjoni għall-familja. Wara l-publikazzjoni tal-Pjan Pastorali 1986-1991, il-Kummissjoni ġiet imġedda b'digriet tat-28 ta' Ġunju 1988.
Soon after the creation of the Pontifical Commission for the Family in 1981, the Archbishop established a Commission for the Family in the diocese. After the publication of the Pastoral Plan 1986-1991, the Commission was re-established by an Episcopal decree dated 28th June 1988. The Commission aims to study the real situation of the Maltese family, to set guidelines for pastoral activity among families, to coordinate pastoral work done by various ecclesiastical entities in the sphere of the family and to make sure that preparation for marriage is duly carried out.

Kif intemmet il-quddiesa, l-E.T. Mgr. Caputo sellem u ha b’idejn dawk kollha li kienu prezenti u wara hareg fil-bitha tal-Facilita fejn innawgura u bierek monument li jfakkar l-ufficjali li mietu maz-zmien.
Before leaving, His Excellency Mons Caputo shook hands with all those present.  He also inaugurated and blessed a monument, situated in the courtyard, that has been erected in honour of prison officials who have served at Kordin and are now deceased.  In his address, Acting Director Abraham Zammit reminded all the officials who serve at the Corrective Facility about their commitment towards reforming the residents.  He added that in spite of the demanding nature of their job, the officials should be proud to be able to offer this service to society.
  IN-NUNZJU APOSTOLIKU JI...
Sahansitra, wiehed miz-zghazagh tal-YOURS tela’ quddiem il-Papa biex jindirizzah f’isem dawk li jhossuhom fil-periferija tal-Knisja, omosesswali, dawk bil-vizzju tad-droga u ohrajn. Hu stess esprima kemm halliet marka profonda fil-qalb tieghu il-harsa tal-Papa u wisq izjed it-tghannieqa sinciera li tah wara li temm id-diskors tieghu.
This letter was handed to Fr Savio, who in turn ensured that it reached the Pope.  On 17th and 18th April the Pope honoured us with his presence.  During the meeting with youths on Sunday 18th April, there were present some inmates from YOURS, as well as other prisoners who are following a drug rehabilitation programme at SATU (Substance abuse therapeutic unit), which is an extension of the prison.  One of the youths from YOURS was invited to address the Pope from the podium. He spoke in the name of all those youths who feel that they are on the periferies of the Church – homosexuals, those who take drugs, etc.  The youth expressed how, after he finished his address, he was moved not only by the Pope’s penetrating look which left an indelible mark upon his heart, but also by his sincere embrace.
  Ittra Pastorali fl-okka...
Hemm oħrajn li jgħidu li jemmnu għaliex meta kienu żgħar kienu marru l-Katekiżmu sakemm waslu għall-Konfermazzjoni, il-Griżma  tal-Isqof. U hemm oħrajn li anki wara l-Griżma, jew inkella meta saru żgħażagħ jew adulti, baqgħu jgħixu l-fidi tagħhom.
But the word ‘faith’ does not hold the same meaning for everyone.  There are those who consider themselves to be believers because they were baptized when they were infants and hold a baptismal certificate.  There are others who say they believe because, as children, they attended catechism classes until such time that they recieved the Sacrament of Confirmation. Then there are those who, as adolescents and young adults, following their Confirmation, set out to live their faith concretely. Yet there are so many of us who still do not heed the Word of Jesus Christ! To begin with, we need to establish which of the above categories applies to us and our family.  We need to discern our level of faith.
  Għaqda Studenti tat-Teo...
L-Għaqda Studenti tat-Teoloġija (Għ.S.T.) twaqqfet fis-6 ta’ Novembru 1945, bl-isem ta’ “Royal University Students’ Theology Association” (R.U.S.T.A.). L-Għaqda ħadet l-isem li għandha issa fl-1978, wara li l-Fakultà tat-Teoloġija ma baqgħetx tifforma parti mill-Università minħabba riformi li kienu saru.
The Theology Students’ Association (T.S.A.) was founded on the 6th of November 1945 under the name of Royal University Students’ Theology Association. The present name was adopted in 1978 after the Faculty of Theology ceased to form part of the University, because of the reforms then introduced. The Faculty of Theology again became part of the University of Malta in 1988. During the period in which the Theology students were not at the University, the T.S.A. continually spoke out in favour of the return of the Faculty of Theology to the University, where it is today.
  L-Imtarfa- maltadiocese
Għal żmien twil kienet tintuża l-knisja ta' Santa Luċija għan-nies li joqogħdu fl-Imtarfa, knisja li nbniet għall-habta tas-sena 1460. Imbagħad wara li telqu l-Ingliżi minn Malta, għall-ħabta ta’ l-1980, flok il-knisja ta' Santa Lucija, bdiet tintuża l-knisja ta' San Oswald li kienet il-knisja ta' l-isptar militari ta' l-ingliżi.
The locality of Mtarfa, formerly part of the parish of Rabat, had a considerable increase in the population during the last years. For several years the church of St. Lucia served the pastoral needs of the people residing at Mtarfa; with the departure of the British military forces St. Oswald's chapel, which was the chapel of the military hospital, was used instead. It was declared an Automomous Pastoral Zone on 19th April 2000, and was declared a parish on the 8th December 2004.

Wara li bejn id-9 u t-12 ta' Jannar 1956, fl-Oratorju ta' San Ġwann, organizzat mir-"Royal University Students Theological Association", kien sar l-ewwel Kungress Liturġiku f'Malta, kienet ġiet imwaqqfa il-Kummissjoni Liturġika li minufih kellha tidħol għall-ħidma kbira għax dik is-sena seħħ it-tiġdid tar-riti tal-Ġimgħa Mqaddsa.
After the first Liturgical Congress in Malta, organised by the Royal University Students' Theological Association, was held at the Oratory of St. John's Co-Cathedral from the 9th to the 12th January 1956; as a result of the Congress, the Liturgical Commission was established in Malta and immediately started working on the revised Holy Week Rites. For many years this Commission, which was considered a "National" Commisson, was fully occupied in translating and publishing the new liturgical books and in promoting the liturgical renewal following Vatican II.
  Dokument ta' Pożizzjoni...
Jinnota li l-liġi attwali li għaddiet tlett snin ilu biss, kienet approvata unanimament mill-Membri Parlamentari kollha wara proċess estensiv ta’ konsultazzjoni li nvolva lill-istakeholders kollha fuq livell tassew nazzjonali.
The position paper concludes that the Embryo Protection Act safeguards the legitimate interests of the prospective child and it champions appropriate standards of ethics in fertility treatment. It points out that the current legislation which was passed just three years ago was enacted unanimously by all Parliamentarians after an exhaustive consultative process that involved all stakeholders on a truly national level. Most importantly, this Act was all about protecting the human embryo - a value that is still clearly held in high esteem in Malta - and should be affirmed rather than destroyed.

Seven sisters of five different nationalities came to Malta at that time and the Blue Sisters welcomed them in their home. Later on they established themselves in Villa Portelli, at Sliema, where in October of that year they opened their school and the Rosary School; four years later they moved to their new school at St. Julian’ s. In 1944 they started a training college for female teachers at St. Julian’ s. In 1954 the College moved to Tal-Virtu’ Mater Admirabilis Training College; when the Government stopped sending teachers for training at the College, it was closed and later the building was taken over by the Seminary. The Society has five houses in Malta.

Is-suċċess tal-RTK kien, mingħajr dubju, parzjalment dovut għall-istamina u l-impenn taċ-Ċerpersins passati tal-RTK, speċjalment Dun Joe Borg, Manni Spiteri, Dun Nicholas Cachia, Victor Formosa u Franco Azzopardi li ġabu magħhom esperjenza kbira u, permezz tal-għarfien u l-professjonaliżmu tagħhom, taw kontribut b’diversi modi biex l-istazzjoni itejjeb il-pożizzjoni tiegħu fl-ispettru wiesa' tax-xandir f'Malta.
