Der Park hat mehrmals den Besitzer gewechselt, bevor er in den 1950er Jahren in den Besitz der Stadt Tilburg überging.

Il existe plusieurs manières de retirer les abeilles, par exemple à l’aide d’un souffleur d'abeilles, d’une brosse à abeilles ou encore d’un vide-hausses. Semblable à la souffleuse à feuilles, le souffleur d'abeilles débarrasse les hausses des abeilles sans leur faire de mal. La brosse à abeilles, une brosse à poils longs, exige un délicat mouvement de va-et-vient à la surface des rayons pour en retirer les abeilles. Le vide-hausses fait office de labyrinthe à sens unique : les abeilles peuvent descendre vers le corps de ruche, mais ne peuvent remonter vers les hausses. L'apiculteur laisse le vide-hausses dans la ruche pendant un jour ou deux, puis revient récupérer les hausses.

abgeleitet aus den von metadesign präzise formulierten anforderungen wurde eine gestaltsprache entwickelt, die sich in einfachen objekten manifestiert. auch hier gilt reduktion auf einfache materialien und wenige farben. die mehrzahl der einrichtungselemente ist in kleinen serien gefertigt worden. nahezu alles ist beweglich und kann von den mitarbeitern nach ihren bedürfnissen konfiguriert werden. auf einbaumöbel wurde weitestgehend verzichtet. metadesign arbeitet in teams. hierfür wurde eigens der raumtyp des studios entwickelt. aus dem ursprünglichen labyrinth unterschiedlicher raumtypen entstanden insgesamt 10 studios, die jeweils platz für 22 mitarbeiter bieten.

Au cours de la procédure de recours, le requérant avait limité leur nombre à 157. La chambre a estimé que le nombre de revendications devait être raisonnable compte tenu de la nature de l'invention revendiquée, et que, bien qu'il ne soit de toute évidence pas possible de donner une définition rigoureuse et immuable du terme "raisonnable", cela ne signifiait pas pour autant que cette exigence était totalement dépourvue de signification et d'effet juridique. Pour trancher cette question, il convenait de tenir compte de l'intérêt du public concerné, les personnes susceptibles d'utiliser l'invention revendiquée dans le brevet ne devant pas s'égarer dans un labyrinthe juridique ni se heurter à un écran de fumée. Les revendications des brevets, qu'elles soient considérées individuellement ou dans leur ensemble, doivent être claires et concises, car les utilisateurs éventuels doivent pouvoir s'assurer, sans devoir pour autant entreprendre des efforts démesurés ni à plus forte raison avoir à intenter une action, que l'exploitation commerciale qu'ils envisagent n'est pas susceptible de porter atteinte au monopole conféré par le brevet. Devoir analyser les 157 revendications pour pouvoir valablement trancher d'un point de vue commercial la question de savoir si l'une de ces revendications risquait d'interdire ou de gêner l'exploitation commerciale de l'invention aurait constitué une tâche qui, par sa nature même, aurait demandé au public une somme de travail considérable et totalement déraisonnable. La chambre a donc conclu que la présente demande ne respectait pas les exigences formulées clairement tant par la règle 29 CBE 1973 (règle 43 CBE) que par l'art. 84 CBE 1973.

Die Patentansprüche müssten sowohl einzeln als auch in ihrer Gesamtheit klar und knapp gefasst sein, damit sich potenzielle Benutzer ohne unzumutbaren Aufwand oder gar Rechtsstreit Gewissheit darüber verschaffen könnten, ob sie mit der beabsichtigten kommerziellen Nutzung voraussichtlich ein Patent verletzen würden. Die Auslegung der 157 Ansprüche mit dem Ziel, sich eine begründete und kommerziell relevante Meinung darüber zu bilden, ob einer dieser Ansprüche die geplante kommerzielle Tätigkeit unterbinden oder behindern könnte, verlange der Öffentlichkeit in jedem Fall einen enormen, völlig unzumutbaren Aufwand ab. Deshalb verstoße die vorliegende Anmeldung nicht nur gegen die klaren Bestimmungen der R. 29 EPÜ 1973 (R. 43 EPÜ), sondern auch gegen die des Art. 84 EPÜ 1973.
